Integration of evidence into practice is an essential outcome for baccalaureate nursing students in this era of health care reform. Cultivation of a spirit of inquiry and appreciation for the role of evidence in shaping nursing practice is central to the development of requisite knowledge and skills. A baccalaureate nursing program curricular redesign placed a higher emphasis on evidence-based practice.

Pregnancy outcomes of adolescents enrolled in a CenteringPregnancy program.

Adolescent pregnancy remains a significant social, economic, and health issue in the United States. The unique developmental needs of the pregnant adolescent require attention when designing prenatal care services. The CenteringPregnancy model of group prenatal care provides education and support for young women in an active and developmentally appropriate environment.

Barriers to prenatal care for homeless pregnant women.

Objective: The purpose of this study was to explore and describe the barriers to prenatal care for homeless pregnant women.

Design: A descriptive survey with written questionnaires.

Participants: About 183 pregnant homeless women live in Northeast Florida in any given month.

Student satisfaction with technology-enhanced learning.

The purpose of this descriptive study was to determine student satisfaction with technology-enhanced learning through a survey of nursing and health science students. Satisfaction generally was high, and there were few differences between nursing and health science students, or between undergraduate and graduate students. Faculty expertise in the creation, selection, and use of the technology is a major factor influencing student satisfaction.
