- In a study comparing 73 ERAS patients to 74 pre-ERAS patients, six key perioperative care strategies were employed, including improved patient education and early mobilization.
- ERAS patients experienced lower opioid use, reduced nausea and lightheadedness, and better mobility post-surgery, suggesting that implementing ERAS can enhance recovery for cardiac surgical patients.
