Glutathione peroxidase 2 (Gpx-2) is a selenoenzyme with antioxidant capabilities that may play a role in cancer development. Hence, we investigated the immunohistochemical expression of Gpx-2 protein in colon adenocarcinoma samples derived from patients with colon adenocarcinoma who did not receive any form of treatment prior to the surgical procedure. The associations between the immunohistochemical expression of Gpx-2 and clinical parameters were analysed using the Chi test and Fisher's exact test.

Approximately 90% of all colorectal cancer cases are adenocarcinomas, originating from epithelial cells of the colorectal mucosa. Upregulated gene 4 (URG4) is an oncogene involved in cancer development.

Acylglycerol kinase (AGK) is a known lipid kinase producing lysophosphatidic acid (LPA) from monoacylglycerol. It is widely expressed in the heart, brain, kidney, and muscle.

As ACE2 on the surface of alveolar cells of the lung epithelium is one of the potential target receptors for SARS-CoV-2, the respiratory symptoms are the most common presentation of COVID-19. The aim of our study was to investigate the morphological findings in lung tissue after being infected by SARS-CoV-2 and compare histopathologic changes in patients with COVID-19 infection history who died to those who survived.

Most often they are sporadic lesions (95%). Half of patients have no symptoms and the tumor is incidentally found on a chest x- ray.

Thus, vascular-targeted treatment aiming to restore a sufficient level of microcirculation through vasodilation would possibly reduce the severity of pancreatitis. Lidocaine is an anti-arrhythmic and local anesthetic drug, which also acts as a vasodilator at higher concentrations.

Despite prominent progress in diagnosis and treatment, the recurrence rates are still high. A tumour hypoxic environment leads to an increase in glycolytic metabolism.

Western histological criteria of carcinoma are "presence of stromal invasion of neoplastic cells", while Japanese criteria are "the degree of cytological and structural abnormality of neoplastic cells, regardless of stromal invasion". The aim of the present study is to clarify and review the present status of the Western and Japanese histological criteria of early stage esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) and also to clarify their significance and accuracy.

Background: HPV infection is the main causative factor of oropharyngeal cancer (OPSCC). Identification of HPV status in OPSCC requires positive evaluation of viral DNA integration into host cell however, p16 accumulation in the proliferating cell layers has been accepted as an alternative marker for HPV infection.
The synchronous primary lung tumors is a rare condition and presented patient is the first reported case of simultaneous two distinct neuroendocrine lung cancer lesions in the same lobe. We present the case of a 55-year-old woman with synchronous two distinct neuroendocrine lung cancer lesions in the right upper lobe. Initially she showed no signs or symptoms related to lung lesions and was admitted to Thoracic Surgery Ward for the investigation of two oval, solitary pulmonary nodules (11 and 19 mm in diameter) detected on a chest X-ray performed three months earlier.

It occurs in serous glands, most frequently in parotid glands and rarely in small palatine glands, cheek glands, palatine tonsils and the lacrimal gland. This study is a description of the therapeutic management of a patient with recurrent pleomorphic adenoma of the lacrimal gland.
