Wide en-bloc surgical excision is the primary treatment, but achieving adequate margins is difficult and surgery is often associated with significant morbidity. Adjuvant radiation therapy (RT) is utilized to decrease the risk of local recurrence or as definitive treatment for nonsurgical candidates.
