Article Synopsis
  • Gastrointestinal problems, nutrient deficiencies, and food intolerances are common in children with neurodevelopmental disorders (NDD).

  • They found that while certain opioid peptide levels were higher in NDD patients, there was no link between the genetic markers and NDD, but a connection between low vitamin D levels and childhood autism (CHA) was observed, suggesting vitamin D's potential importance in CHA development.
