Spectrochim Acta A Mol Biomol Spectrosc
November 2024
This study employed advanced spectroscopic techniques to investigate the structural and optical properties of chitosan (CS) biopolymer films modified with natural dyes from Cosmos Sulphureus Cav. (CSC) flowers. FTIR results indicated that the inclusion of CSC dyes led to broader absorbance and decreased transmittance.

Compound is found to exist as two types of intra-molecular hydrogen bonding with keto-enol tautomerism characters, which is further confirmed using FTIR, H-NMR, C-NMR, mass spectrometer, and UV-Visible spectra. The H-NMR and UV-Visible spectra of Compound are investigated in different solvents such as methanol, chloroform, and DMSO.
