Background: Blood transfusion is a double-edged sword, as it is a life-saving intervention but is also associated with various adverse reactions. However, blood transfusion safety can be improved by identifying these adverse reactions and taking appropriate interventions. Therefore, in this study, we aimed to determine the frequency and type of transfusion reactions occurring among in-patients at our hospital, as reported to our institute's blood center.

Study Design: The study was a prospective, observational, multicentre, single-arm registry.
Purpose: The objective of this manuscript is to assess the effect of varicocele repair (VR) in patients with clinical varicoceles on serum total testosterone, luteinizing hormone (LH), follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH), and inhibin B serum levels.
Materials And Methods: The study was performed in compliance with the Meta-Analysis and Systematic Reviews of Observational Studies (MOOSE) guidelines and the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis Protocols (PRISMA-P). All eligible studies were selected following the PICOS (Population, Intervention, Comparison/Comparator, Outcomes, Study design) model.
Antimicrobial resistance (AMR) poses a critical global health challenge, requiring a coordinated and vigorous response. Despite numerous global and national efforts, a unified multidisciplinary approach has been missing. The National Alliance of Medical Professionals on Antimicrobial Resistance (NAMP-AMR), led by the Indian Medical Association in collaboration with key stakeholders such as NITI Aayog and the Ministry of Health, seeks to address this gap.

This study explores the association between physical activity and sleep quality among doctors and medical students in Tamil Nadu, India, addressing a notable gap in existing research.
Methods: This cross-sectional study was conducted in Tamil Nadu, India, targeting doctors and medical students.
Background: Spinal metastases are a significant complication of advanced cancer. In this study, we assess temporal trends in the incidence and timing of spinal metastases and examine underlying patient demographics and primary cancer associations.
Methods: In this population-based retrospective cohort study, health data from 2007 to 2019 in Ontario, Canada were analyzed ( = 37, 375 patients identified with spine metastases).
With the global escalation of concerns surrounding prostate cancer (PCa) diagnosis, reliance on the serologic prostate-specific antigen (PSA) test remains the primary approach. However, the imperative for early PCa diagnosis necessitates more effective, accurate, and rapid diagnostic point-of-care (POC) devices to enhance the result reliability and minimize disease-related complications. Among POC approaches, electrochemical biosensors, known for their amenability and miniaturization capabilities, have emerged as promising candidates.

We aimed to determine the FGA and influence of preoperative deformity on the FGA, based on the MR technique, in varus knee osteoarthritis.
Methods: In 321 navigated TKAs, we released the soft tissues in extension.
Docetaxel is the most commonly used chemotherapy for advanced prostate cancer (PC), including castration-resistant disease (CRPC), but the eventual development of docetaxel resistance constitutes a major clinical challenge. Here, we demonstrate activation of the cholinergic muscarinic M1 receptor (CHRM1) in CRPC cells upon acquiring resistance to docetaxel, which is manifested in tumor tissues from PC patients post- vs. pre-docetaxel.

Vaccination efforts have effectively reduced severe outcomes and mortality, but breakthrough infections and new variants are of concern. In response, annual booster doses of COVID-19 vaccines are being considered to maintain immunity.

Despite their importance, the advancement in quantum neuromorphic systems is slow without specific device design. To elucidate biomimicking mammalian brain synapses, a new class of quantum topological neuristors (QTN) with ultralow energy consumption (pJ) and higher switching speed (µs) is introduced.

This report details the successful prosthetic rehabilitation of a 25-year-old male patient with Papillon Lefèvre Syndrome (PLS) using an implant-supported hybrid prosthesis. Six implants were placed in the maxilla, and four were placed in the mandibular arch. All implants were inserted axially (non-tilted) and were planned to be loaded after a healing period of 6 months.

However, few experimental tools can measure these weak forces embedded within large biological suprastructures in the native solution environment. Here, we develop experimental methods for detecting the presence of a single noncovalent interaction [a hydrogen bond (H-bond)] within a large DNA duplex in solution and measure its formation enthalpy (Δ).
