Immobilization of enzymes on inorganic supports such as silica and carbon materials is an effective approach for chemical surface modification. In this work, hierarchical zeolite (HZ-SAPO's) materials were fabricated by a modified method, and mesoporous carbon (CMK-3) was synthesized using the SBA-15 mesoporous silica as a template. A variety of biocatalysts was prepared using HZ-SAPO with CMK to furnish the nanocomposite biocatalyst.

This 3D hierarchical nanostructure provides an admirable conductive network for effective charge transfer and avoids the agglomeration of NG matrices, which examine direct as well as non-enzymatic responses to glucose oxidation and HO reduction at a low potential. The novel electrode showed excellent electrochemical performance towards glucose oxidation, with high sensitivity of 9.

View Article and Find Full Text PDFYarn supercapacitors have great potential in future portable and wearable electronics because of their tiny volume, flexibility and weavability. However, low-energy density limits their development in the area of wearable high-energy density devices. How to enhance their energy densities while retaining their high-power densities is a critical challenge for yarn supercapacitor development.
