Cancer poses a significant health threat to the elderly, accounting for a substantial proportion of cancer patients aged 65 and above. As life expectancy continues to rise and the population ages, the incidence of cancer in the elderly is expected to increase further. Age is a major risk factor for the majority of common cancers, with the incidence and prevalence rising as individuals grow older.

Objective: This study aimed to investigate the symbiotic effect of ATOR along with either lacosamide (LACO) or levetiracetam (LEVE) on experimentally induced epilepsy (Maximal electro-shock-MES or pentylenetetrazol- PTZ) in mice models.
Methods: Conventional elevated-maze (EPM) and rotarod methods were performed to observe the behavioral effects.
This review examines the immunological and autoimmune adverse events associated with COVID-19 vaccines, highlighting their frequencies, reported cases, and associations with specific vaccine classes. The concept of vaccine-induced immune thrombotic thrombocytopenia is crucial in addressing vaccine skepticism. Understanding this concept helps healthcare professionals identify and manage potential adverse events after vaccination.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFA method to capture three-dimensional (3D) objects image data under extremely low light level conditions, also known as Photon Counting Imaging (PCI), was reported. It is demonstrated that by combining a PCI system with computational integral imaging algorithms, a 3D scene reconstruction and recognition is possible. The resulting reconstructed 3D images often look degraded (due to the limited number of photons detected in a scene) and they, therefore, require the application of superior image restoration techniques to improve object recognition.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFA new series of some novel pyrazinamide condensed 1,2,3,4-tetrahydropyrimidines was prepared by reacting of -(3-oxobutanoyl)pyrazine-2-carboxamide with urea/thiourea and appropriate aldehyde in the presence of catalytic amount of laboratory made -toluenesulfonic acid as an efficient catalyst. Confirmation of the chemical structure of the synthesized compounds (4a-l) was substantiated by TLC, different spectral data IR, H NMR, mass spectra and elemental analysis. The synthesized compounds were evaluated for acetyl and butyl cholinesterase (AChE and BuChE) inhibitor activity.

The aim of this study was synthesis and evaluate pyralothiazolyloxindole analogues if possess acetyl cholinesterase (AChE) inhibitory activity. The easily accessible one-pot synthesis of these compounds resulted to be significantly less difficult and expensive than that of donepezil.
