Incidental finding of paradental cyst in the maxillary anterior teeth during immediate implant placement.

Paradental cyst is classified as an inflammatory cyst, and its occurrence in the anterior maxillary region is very rare. Several hypotheses have been put forward on the etiopathogenesis among which the formation of cyst secondary to inflammatory destruction of the periodontium and alveolar bone can be attributed to the present case. A 26-year-old male patient reported with loosened maxillary anterior teeth.

Comparative evaluation of efficacy of enzymatic toothpaste over standard fluoridated toothpaste in reduction of plaque and gingivitis.

Effect of non-surgical periodontal therapy on plasma homocysteine levels in Indian population with chronic periodontitis: a pilot study.

Aim: Homocysteine (Hcy) is implicated in the development of cardiovascular diseases (CVD). The effect of periodontal disease and periodontal therapy on plasma Hcy remains controversial. Hence, in this pilot study we assessed the effect of periodontal disease and non-surgical periodontal therapy (NSPT) on plasma Hcy in systemically healthy Indian subjects.
