The assessment of the transformation zone is a critical step toward diagnosis of cervical cancer. This work involves the development of a portable, label-free transvaginal multispectral diffuse optical imaging (MDOI) imaging probe to estimate the transformation zone. The images were acquired from N = 5 (N = 1 normal, N = 2 premalignant, and N = 2 malignant) patients.

Aim: To morphologically evaluate the effects and compare the magnitude of enlargement in the gingiva of male albino wistar rats, on the administration of tacrolimus and sirolimus.

Materials And Methods: The experiment was performed on 6-week-old, male Albino Wistar rats, weighing 150-220 g. The animals were housed in pairs, in plastic bottomed cages, with husk as a bedding; in well ventilated rooms subjected to normal atmospheric conditions at 21°C and the same regimen of lighting (12 hours of light/ dark cycle) at the central animal house and fed with a standard pellet diet and water ad libitum.

Grafting of polyaniline (PANI) on to gellan gum (GG) was carried out in the presence of catalytic amount of ammonium peroxydisulfate (APS) as oxidant/initiator under mild acidic conditions by microwave irradiation technique. The grafting condition was optimized by varying the microwave power, exposure time and the composition of the reaction mixture. The graft copolymer GG-g-PANI was characterized by FTIR, TGA, UV/vis, (1)H NMR and SEM techniques.

In this study, gellan gum-grafted-poly((2-dimethylamino) ethyl methacrylate) (GG-g-poly(DMAEMA)) hydrogel was made by free radical polymerization in aqueous media employing microwave irradiation technique. Ammonium persulfate (APS)/N,N,N',N'-tetramethylethylenediamine (TMEDA) were used as initiator-accelerator pair. N,N'-methylenebisacrylamide (MBA) has been used as crosslinker.

The association of fungus in allergic fungal rhino sinusitis has been around 200 times in the world literature. As per the available literature, the most common agent identified so far appears to be ASPERGILLUS, though the condition is increasingly associated with Dematiaceous fungi. Here we report for the first time the presence of unusual fungus in allergic rhino sinusitis, which has not been reported so far.
