Background: Percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) has a well-established role in revascularization for coronary artery disease. We performed network meta-analysis to provide evidence on optimal intervention strategies for lesions in small coronary arteries.
Materials And Methods: Enrolled studies were randomized clinical trials that compared different intervention strategies [balloon angioplasty (BA), biolimus-coated balloon (BCB), bare-metal stent (BMS), new-generation drug-eluting stent (New-DES), older generation sirolimus-eluting stent (Old-SES), paclitaxel-coated balloon (PCB), and paclitaxel-eluting stent (PES)] for lesions in small coronary arteries.

Background And Aims: Accurate classification of plaque composition is essential for treatment planning. Intravascular ultrasound (IVUS) has limited efficacy in assessing tissue types, while near-infrared spectroscopy (NIRS) provides complementary information to IVUS but lacks depth information. The aim of this study is to train and assess the efficacy of a machine learning classifier for plaque component classification that relies on IVUS echogenicity and NIRS-signal, using histology as reference standard.

However, flecainide can also exert pro-arrhythmic effects most notably following myocardial infarction and when used to diagnose Brugada syndrome (BrS). These divergent actions result from its physiological and pharmacological actions at multiple, interacting levels of cellular organization.
