Wolbachia pipientis (Hertig, 1936), also referred as Wolbachia, is a bacterium present across insect taxa, certain strains of which have been demonstrated to impact the fitness and capacity to transmit viruses in mosquitoes, particularly Aedes aegypti (Linnaeus, 1762). Most studies examine these impacts in limited sets of environmental regimes. Here we seek to understand the impacts of environmentally relevant conditions such as larval density, temperature, and their interaction on wAlbB-infected A.

The Cas9 enzyme has been traditionally utilized for gene editing and DNA cleavage.

Methods: A comprehensive systematic literature review was conducted on the research question, "Which evidence-based methods are suitable for assessing the fitness to drive of people with dementia or mild cognitive impairment?" for the period 2015-2020. The search was conducted in the Medline, PsycINFO, LIVIVO, PubPsych, Scopus, Cinahl, and CENTRAL databases.
Background: The detection of thyroid cancer has rapidly increased over last few decades without an increase in disease specific mortality. Several studies claim that the diagnose of thyroid nodules through routine ultrasound imaging is often the trigger for cascade effects leading to unnecessary follow-up over many years or to invasive treatment. The objective of this study was to explore physicians' and patients' insights and preferences regarding the current interventions on thyroid nodules.

The care of people with dementia will be one of the major challenges for healthcare systems worldwide. Digitalisation offers new possibilities to improve both dementia healthcare and health outcomes research as a fundament for national healthcare planning.

Digital technologies are a force for change. The new project digiDEM Bayern with its digital services on a digital platform and a digital patient registry should help to improve the situation for people with dementia and their caregivers especially in rural settings.

A timely diagnosis, however, is crucial for the utilization of therapies and support services for PWD and their caregivers. So far, only a few international studies have analysed predictors of the time lapse between the first perceived symptoms and diagnosis.

The care of pwd is mainly conducted by informal caregivers who are faced with several burdens; however, use of care services is generally low. The aim of this study was to identify predictors of the use of outpatient care services.

Sustainable management aimed at maintaining the flow of a broad range of benefits from the ocean requires a comprehensive and quantitative method to measure and monitor the health of coupled human–ocean systems. We created an index comprising ten diverse public goals for a healthy coupled human–ocean system and calculated the index for every coastal country.

Aims: Patency failure of small vascular synthetic grafts is still a major problem for coronary and peripheral revascularization. Thus, three new surface coatings of small synthetic grafts were tested in an acute pig model to evaluate their thrombogenicity (extracorporeal arterio-venous shunt) and in a chronic rat model to evaluate the tissue reaction they induced (subcutaneous implantation).
Methods: In five domestic pigs (25-30 kg) an extracorporeal femoro-femoral arterio-venous shunt model was used.
