Currently, the glenoid track concept relies on measurements of bony structures as well as on the confines and elasticity of the rotator cuff as a reference point, which varies extensively among individuals and therefore limits the reliability and accuracy of this concept.

Caregivers of patients undergoing chimeric antigen receptor T cell therapy (CAR-T) play a critical role during treatment, yet their experience remains largely unaddressed. We aimed to longitudinally describe quality of life (QoL) and psychological distress, as well as prognostic awareness, in caregivers and explore the association of prognosis awareness with baseline psychological distress. We conducted a longitudinal study of adults with hematologic malignancies receiving CAR-T. We investigate the nonlinear refraction induced by Rydberg excitons in Cu_{2}O. Using a high-precision interferometry imaging technique that spatially resolves the nonlinear phase shift, we observe significant shifts at extremely low laser intensity near each exciton resonance. From this, we derive the nonlinear index n_{2}, present the n_{2} spectrum for principal quantum numbers n≥5, and report large n_{2} values of order 10^{-3}  mm^{2}/mW.

The goal of this study was to compare the effectiveness of a rotator cuff-sparing postero-inferior (PI) approach with subdeltoidal access to the traditional subscapularis-takedown deltopectoral approach, in terms of implant sizing and positioning in anatomical total shoulder arthroplasty (aTSA). This study involved 18 human cadaveric shoulders with intact rotator cuffs and no evidence of head deforming osteoarthritis. An Eclipse stemless aTSA (Arthrex, Naples, FL, USA) was implanted in nine randomly selected specimens using a standard subscapularis-tenotomy deltopectoral approach, and in the other nine specimens using the cuff-sparing PI approach.

A novel, two-parameter modification of a Drude model, based on fractional time derivatives, is presented. The dielectric susceptibility is calculated analytically and simulated numerically, showing good agreement between theoretical description and numerical results. The absorption coefficient and wave vector are shown to follow a power law in the frequency domain, which is a common phenomenon in electromagnetic and acoustic wave propagation in complex media such as biological tissues.

We theoretically investigate the surface plasmon polaritons (SPPs) generated on an Al film covered by an AlO layer in the context of their application as refractive index sensors. The calculated reflection spectra indicate SPP resonance excited by ultraviolet light, which was affected by the thickness of both the metal and the oxide layers on the surface. With optimized geometry, the system can work as a tunable sensor with a wide UV wavelength range λ∼ 150-300 nm.
