Introduction: High tibial osteotomy (HTO) is indicated for managing isolated medial knee osteoarthritis in a young patient with a metaphyseal deformity of the proximal tibia. In a medial open-wedge HTO, maintaining the integrity of the hinge is crucial for consolidation and preservation of the correction. Based on a validated model and preliminary results, the objective of this work was to measure and monitor the distribution of mechanical load on a locking fixation plate and the lateral hinge of an HTO using a finite element (FE) model during different phases of consolidation evolution, simulating single leg weightbearing.

An electronic search strategy was conducted from 1986 until August 2023 using the following databases: PubMed, Cochrane, and Google Scholar (pages 1-20). The primary objectives included the postoperative clinical outcomes determined by the number of patients who reached minimal clinical important difference (MCID) on the visual analog scale (VAS), modified Harris hip score (mHHS), Hip Outcome Score-Sports Subscale (HOS-SS), Hip Outcome Score-Activities of Daily Life (HOS-ADL), and International Hip Outcome Tool-12 (iHOT-12).

We hypothesize that native head size is highly correlated with implanted cup size. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to look for a correlation between sizes of the intra-operative measurement of the femoral head and the implanted cup.

Diabetic foot ulcers are complications of diabetes that can lead to lower extremity amputations, re-amputations and high mortality rates.: The aim of this study is to evaluate the risk factors associated with higher re-amputation rates in diabetic foot disease.

This incident, which is considered as one of the largest industrial disasters lead to the death of at least 220 people and more than 6000 injuries. Hospitals near the blast were damaged significantly which made it difficult to treat injured patients.

For severe acetabular bone loss, reconstruction with a Kerboull cross-plate and bone allograft would contribute to restoring native hip position and bone stock. Only two papers reported on the combination of Kerboull cross-plate with bone allograft and cemented DMC in revision total hip arthroplasty (THA).

Following Charcot arthropathy, these frequencies were reported with wide variations.

Nerve transfers are replacing other techniques as the gold standard for brachial plexus and other proximal peripheral nerve injuries. These transfers require an intimate knowledge of nerve topography, a technically demanding Intraneural dissection and require extensive physical therapy for retraining.

Two surgical methods are commonly used to treat such injuries: open reduction and internal fixation (ORIF) and primary arthrodesis (PA). The aim of this meta-analysis is to look for significant differences in the outcomes between these two techniques.
