Introduction And Hypothesis: Female survivors of endometrial and rectal cancers have increased risk of urinary incontinence. Survivors with prior radiation therapy are counseled against mesh incontinence surgery. We hypothesize that urethral radiation dose varies based on modality which may influence surgical risks.

Methods: The study follows a cohort of 1361 individuals who matched into a neurosurgery residency program through the SF Match Fellowship and Residency Matching Service from 1990 to 1999. The main outcome measure was achievement of board certification as documented in the American Board of Neurological Surgery Directory of Diplomats.
