Background: Sclerodermoid graft-versus-host disease (GVHD) is the most severe form of chronic GVHD (cGVHD) and represents a considerable therapeutic challenge. Due to the scarcity of human studies on sclerodermoid cGVHD, the pathogenesis of this entity is not fully understood.
