Purpose: This retrospective analysis evaluates baseline F-flotufolastat positron emission tomography (PET) parameters as prognostic parameters for treatment response and outcome in patients with metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer (mCRPC) undergoing treatment with [Lu]Lu-PSMA-I&T.
Methods: A total of 188 mCRPC patients with baseline F-flotufolastat PET scans were included. Tumor lesions were semiautomatically delineated, with imaging parameters including volume-based and standardized uptake value (SUV)-based metrics.
Theranostics in nuclear oncology combines diagnostic and therapeutic procedures using radiotracers to target tumor cells. Prostate-specific membrane antigen (PSMA) is a key target in metastatic prostate cancer, and the radioligand [177Lu]Lu-PSMA-617, which binds to PSMA, has shown promising results in treating metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer (mCRPC), leading to its approval by the European Medicines Agency in 2022.In this narrative review, the current evidence of [177Lu]Lu-PSMA-617 in mCRPC was discussed in the context of selected studies and the joint EANM/SNMMI guidelines for Lutetium-177-labeled PSMA-targeted radioligand therapy.

Background: The cesarean scar niche, a consequence of incomplete wound healing, can lead to gynecological complications and affect future pregnancies. While internal niches have been well-studied, external and bidirectional niches are also important.
Objective: We aimed to conduct a comparative analysis of the prevalence and measurements of different types of niches.
Background: Ictal brain perfusion SPECT provides higher sensitivity for the identification of the epileptic seizure onset zone (SOZ) than interictal SPECT. However, ictal SPECT is demanding due to the unpredictable waiting period for the next seizure to allow for ictal tracer injection. Thus, starting with an interictal scan and skipping the ictal scan if the interictal scan provides a SOZ candidate with high confidence could be an efficient approach.

Multiple time point imaging for accurate dosimetry is time consuming and hence can be demanding for nuclear medicine departments as well as patients. The objectives of this study were (1) to assess absorbed doses to organs at risk and tumor lesions for [Lu]Lu-PSMA-I&T using whole body SPECT imaging and (2) to investigate possible simplified dosimetry protocols.

According to the World Health Organization, people with a history of chronic diseases such as brain stroke are among the main groups at risk of contracting COVID-19. Therefore, this study was performed with the aim of the determination amount of the frequency of contracting COVID-19 in stroke patients.

The reliability and predictability of the behavior of such systems, especially when intended for usage at high temperatures or in harsh environments, demand the consideration of thermo-mechanical properties of the individual films of the multilayer arrangement during the design stage. This paper introduces a newly derived analytical model for the convenient indirect determination of the temperature-dependent Young's modulus and the thermally induced stress of individual layers within a multilayered thin film system, i.

Methods: 176 ictal SPECT performed with Tc-HMPAO (n = 140) or -ECD (n = 36) were included retrospectively. Visual interpretation of the SPECT images (together with individual MRI and statistical hyperperfusion maps) with respect to lateralization (right, left, none) and localization (temporal, frontal, parietal, occipital) of the SOZ was performed by 3 independent readers.
Objectives: To compare the feasibility and reliability of manual versus software-assisted assessments of computed tomography scans according to iRECIST in patients undergoing immune-based cancer treatment.
Methods: Computed tomography scans of 30 tumor patients undergoing cancer treatment were evaluated by four independent radiologists at baseline (BL) and two follow-ups (FU), resulting in a total of 360 tumor assessments (120 each at BL/FU1/FU2). After image interpretation, tumor burden and response status were either calculated manually or semi-automatically as defined by software, respectively.
This study evaluated the potential to reduce the scan duration in dopamine transporter (DAT) SPECT when using a second-generation multiple-pinhole (MPH) collimator designed for brain SPECT with improved count sensitivity and improved spatial resolution compared with parallel-hole and fanbeam collimators. The retrospective study included 640 consecutive clinical DAT SPECT studies that had been acquired in list mode with a triple-head SPECT system with MPH collimators and a 30-min net scan duration after injection of 181 ± 10 MBq of [I]FP-CIT. Raw data corresponding to scan durations of 20, 15, 12, 8, 6, and 4 min were obtained by restricting the events to a proportionally reduced time interval of the list-mode data for each projection angle.

This review focuses on the application of tDCS as a therapeutic intervention for managing knee osteoarthritis (OA), a prevalent musculoskeletal condition. The primary objective is to assess the effectiveness of tDCS(add-on tDCS and /or stand-alone tDCS), whether as an add-on to existing treatments or as a standalone therapy, in reducing pain and enhancing functional capacity in patients with knee OA.

Methods: Of 302 patients who underwent PSMA-RGS, 17 (5.6%) demonstrated a negative histopathology.
The aim of this retrospective analysis was to evaluate health-related quality of life (HRQoL) for patients with metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer (mCRPC) receiving consecutive cycles of Lu-prostate-specific membrane antigen (PSMA) radioligand therapy (RLT) using the reliable and validated European Organisation for Research and Treatment of Cancer core quality-of-life (QoL) questionnaire. In addition, differences in HRQoL between patients with early discontinuation of treatment because of disease progression and patients who were defined as eligible for treatment continuation were analyzed. In total, 60 mCRPC patients were included in this analysis.

In GvHD, donor immune cells attack the patient, requiring powerful immunosuppressive drugs like glucocorticoids (GCs) to prevent death. In this study, we tested the hypothesis that donor cell conditioning with the glucocorticoid fluticasone propionate (FLU) prior to transplantation could increase hematopoietic stem cell (HSC) engraftment and reduce GvHD.

Prostate-specific membrane antigen (PSMA)-targeted hybrid imaging using positron emission tomography (PET) in combination with CT or MRI represents a comparably new method that gained increasing importance in the diagnostic process of PCa in recent years.
Method: Current applications of PSMA hybrid imaging were summarized according to the German and European guidelines on PCa.
Prostate-specific membrane antigen (PSMA) radioligand therapy (RLT) has shown encouraging results for treatment of metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer (mCRPC) in the prospective, multicenter, randomized phase II TheraP study. The inclusion criteria for that study comprised a pretherapeutic Ga-PSMA-11 PET scan showing sufficient tumor uptake using a predefined threshold and the absence of F-FDG-positive, PSMA ligand-negative tumor lesions. However, the prognostic value of these PET-based inclusion criteria remains unclear.

A total of 103 patients (metastatic hormone-sensitive PC, = 57; castration-resistant PC, = 46) underwent taxane-based chemotherapy. All patients had a minimum of 2 prostate-specific membrane antigen (PSMA) PET scans (at baseline and up to 3 mo after treatment).
