Given the significance of investigating ovarian reserve in infertile women, the limitations of existing diagnostic tests, and the absence of similar studies in this area, the present study aimed to examine the relationship between systemic inflammatory markers in patients with diminished ovarian reserve referred to the fertility clinic of Alzahra Hospital in Rasht in the year 2023. This cross-sectional analytical study was conducted on 174 patients referred to the Alzahra Hospital fertility clinic in Rasht. Patients were divided into two categories based on their serum levels of anti-Müllerian hormone (AMH):AMH >1.

To better characterize the neuropathological/molecular correlates of CP in progressive MS and its potential link with other brain inflammatory compartments, such as perivascular spaces and leptomeninges, the levels, composition and phenotype of CP immune infiltration in lateral ventricles of the hippocampus were examined in 40 post-mortem pathologically confirmed MS and 10 healthy donors, using immunochemistry/immunofluorescence and in-situ sequencing. Significant inflammation was detected in the CP of 21 out of the 40 MS cases (52%).

Objective: This study aimed to evaluate the levels of reactive oxygen species (ROS) and apoptotic gene expression in mice treated with CP and LC.
To reuse water and reduce water pollution, such as chemical oxygen demand (COD), total suspended solids (TSS), PO, NTU, and NO, advanced wastewater treatment technologies (a combination of coagulation (FeCl) and adsorption (Activated Carbon (AC))) are attractive. Considering that water reclamation can help provide an irrigation system for crops and domestic purified water, removing organic matter and nutrients prior to wastewater reuse is fundamental. In order to remove contaminants like organic matter and nutrients from wastewater, advanced wastewater treatment processes are recommended.

It is known that SLC2A9 and ABCG2 protein are the main urate transporter and genetic variations in these genes could be associated with the levels of serum uric acid. This study aimed to investigate the association between single-nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) SLC2A9-rs16890979, SLC2A9-rs3733591, ABCG2-rs2231142, and ABCG2-rs2231137 with male infertility.

Objective: This study explored whether adding a remedial exercise routine to an ergonomic advice intervention, delivered remotely, is helpful for reducing habitual postures of the neck, shoulders, and upper back.
Design: Pragmatic randomized controlled trial.
Background: Oxidative stress is involved in pathogenesis of some psychiatric disorders. To examine the role of oxidative stress in the etiopathogenesis of obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), we aimed to determine oxidative stress indices, including malondialdehyde (MDA) levels in serum and red blood cells (RBC) membrane, total antioxidant capacity (TAC), serum glutathione (GSH) levels, serum antioxidant vitamins (A and E), and Na/K-ATPase activity, in patients with the mentioned disorder vs. healthy controls.

The progress of these processes depends on some endogenous and exogenous factors. So, the optimal level of ions and essential and rare elements such as selenium, zinc, copper, iron, manganese, calcium, and so on in various types of cells of the reproductive system could affect conception and male fertility rates.

Schizophrenia (SCZ) is a profound neurological disorder that affects approximately 1% of the global population. Alpha-pinene (α-pinene) is a natural and active monoterpene found in coniferous tree oil, primarily pine, with diverse pharmacological characteristics, including antioxidative, anxiolytic, and antidepressant properties. This research study delves into the neuroprotective effects of α-pinene on oxidative stress, memory deficits, and depressive and anxiety-like behaviors in a ketamine-induced mice model of SCZ using male mice.

Among the essential amino acids, Tryptophan (Trp) plays a crucial role in human metabolism and serves as a diagnostic marker for various metabolic disorders. In this study, we introduce an innovative approach that combines an enantio-selective ZIF-8-His MOF-MIPs packed-bed centrifugal microfluidic system with an enantioselective colorimetric sensor probe.

Vaccination is the front line of prevention, and antiinflammatory and antiviral drugs are the treatment of this disease. In addition, some herbal therapy approaches can be a good way to deal with this disease.

Background: Understanding of students' musculoskeletal health under home-schooling during the COVID-19 pandemic is limited.
Objectives: (1) To investigate the prevalence and severity of musculoskeletal symptoms in home-schooled adolescents during the COVID-19 pandemic. (2) To evaluate the effect of an online exercise + ergonomics advice protocol on symptoms, compared with ergonomics advice alone.
Herein, we introduce a novel integrated system that merges an enantio-discriminative bio-MOF-packed centrifugal microfluidic chip made from PDMS with a user-friendly on-site colorimetric sensor. This innovative approach enables the precise enantioselective recognition of L-tryptophane (L-Trp). This chiral recognition probe was successfully synthesized through meticulous control of nano-ovals-shaped gold nanoparticles morphology and surface passivation.

Since the rate of infection among first-time blood donors is higher than repeated donors, strategies to enhance blood safety can focus on new donors. The aim of the study was to investigate the effect of pre-donation viral screening of new donors on blood safety.

The difficulty of developing pollutants in aquatic ecosystems and their potential effects on animals and plants have been raised. Sewage effluent can seriously harm a river's plant and animal life by reducing the water's oxygen content. Due to their increasing use and poor elimination in traditional municipal wastewater treatment plants (WWTPs), pharmaceuticals are one of the developing pollutants that have the potential to penetrate aquatic ecosystems.

However, whether SARS-CoV-2 is eradicated by sewage treatment is virtually unknown. Specifically, the objectives of this study include (i) determining whether a mixed matrixed membrane (MMM) is able to remove SARS-CoV-2 (polycarbonate (PC)-hydrous manganese oxide (HMO) and PC-silver nanoparticles (Ag-NP)), (ii) comparing filtration performance among different secondary treatment processes, and (iii) evaluating whether artificial neural networks (ANNs) can be employed as performance indicators to reduce SARS-CoV-2 in the treatment of sewage.
