These syndromes caused by mutations in the <i>LMNA</i> gene encoding A-type lamins belong to a group of disorders called laminopathies. However, hiPSC-BAPs display a low adipogenic capacity compared to adult-BAPs when maintained in a traditional adipogenic cocktail.
