Resveratrol, a natural polyphenol known for its anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties, is thought to mitigate these effects, yet its effectiveness remains to be fully verified. This systematic review evaluates the impact of RES supplementation on muscle recovery in adults by examining its influence on DOMS, oxidative stress, and inflammation, along with its interactions with other supplements.

State of Lung Cancer in Egypt: Moving Towards Improved Guidelines for Prevention, Screening, Treatment, and Clinical Care Programs.

Lung cancer remains a leading cause of cancer-related mortality globally and presents significant challenges in Egypt. In 2023, the first annual meeting of the Thoracic Oncology Multidisciplinary Faculty, organized by the Egyptian Cancer Research Network and the Egyptian Society of Respiratory Neoplasms, was held in Cairo, Egypt. The meeting aimed to address gaps in lung cancer management across Egypt and the broader Middle East and North Africa region.

Pulmonary neuroendocrine neoplasms: the molecular landscape, therapeutic challenges, and diagnosis and management strategies.

Lung neuroendocrine neoplasms are a group of diverse, heterogeneous tumours that range from well-differentiated, low-grade neuroendocrine tumours-such as typical and atypical carcinoids-to high-grade, poorly differentiated aggressive malignancies, such as large-cell neuroendocrine carcinoma (LCNEC) and small-cell lung cancer (SCLC). While the incidence of SCLC has decreased, the worldwide incidence of other pulmonary neuroendocrine neoplasms has been increasing over the past decades. In addition to the standard histopathological classification of lung neuroendocrine neoplasms, the introduction of molecular and sequencing techniques has led to new advances in understanding the biology of these diseases and might influence future classifications and staging that can subsequently improve management guidelines in the adjuvant or metastatic settings.

Background: Repatriation of ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) patients after primary percutaneous coronary intervention (PPCI) is common in regional health care programs. We examined the short- and long-term safety of early repatriation after PPCI in stable STEMI patients.

Methods: Consecutive stable STEMI patients undergoing PPCI between 2016 to 2018 in the Fraser Health Authority were included.

As this subject has not been formally investigated, likely due to its rarity, we reviewed published case reports (CRs) to examine the veracity of this assumption.

Methods: We included CR describing patients diagnosed with both acute seizures and arterial dissections in order to ascertain the temporal sequence between acute seizures and typical SAAAD symptoms.

Wearable electronic textiles (e-textiles) are transforming personalized healthcare through innovative applications. However, integrating electronics into textiles for e-textile manufacturing exacerbates the rapidly growing issues of electronic waste (e-waste) and textile recycling due to the complicated recycling and disposal processes needed for mixed materials, including textile fibers, electronic materials, and components. Here, first closed-loop recycling for wearable e-textiles is reported by incorporating the thermal-pyrolysis of graphene-based e-textiles to convert them into graphene-like electrically conductive recycled powders.

The goal of our study was to describe the availability of community child and adolescent mental health services, trauma-informed care, and the geographic accessibility of these services for juvenile justice-involved (JJ) youth who received mental health services while in secure detention. Data collection occurred through direct contact with the child and adolescent outpatient clinics listed on the New York State Office of Mental Health website. Zip codes were collected from the juvenile secure detention census.

Emerging advances in defining the molecular and therapeutic landscape of small-cell lung cancer.

Small-cell lung cancer (SCLC) has traditionally been considered a recalcitrant cancer with a dismal prognosis, with only modest advances in therapeutic strategies over the past several decades. Comprehensive genomic assessments of SCLC have revealed that most of these tumours harbour deletions of the tumour-suppressor genes TP53 and RB1 but, in contrast to non-small-cell lung cancer, have failed to identify targetable alterations. The expression status of four transcription factors with key roles in SCLC pathogenesis defines distinct molecular subtypes of the disease, potentially enabling specific therapeutic approaches.

Introduction: Glioblastoma (grade IV) is the most aggressive primary brain tumor in adults, representing one of the biggest therapeutic challenges due to its highly aggressive nature. In this study, we investigated the impact of millimeter waves on tridimensional glioblastoma organoids derived directly from patient tumors. Role of rotavirus vaccine in reducing diarrheal episodes in infants visiting private primary health care clinics in Karachi, Pakistan: A mixed-methods study.

Background: Rotavirus (RV) induced diarrhea led to hospitalization and mortality prior to the introduction of the rotavirus vaccine (RVV). The estimated RVV coverage was 86% in children less than one year of age in Pakistan.
