Virtual Learning Environments have become innovative tools in health professionals education. Through Massive Open Online Courses, they enable different ways of connecting with knowledge, facilitating study autonomy, interaction, and closer alignment with professional practices and the context of course participants. MOOCs comprise an educational strategy for many fields, including health.

Educommunication in Nutrition and Neurodegenerative Diseases: A Scoping Review.

Unlabelled: Neurodegenerative diseases significantly impact individuals' nutritional status. Therefore, nutritional education plays a crucial role in enhancing the understanding of food and nutrition, preventing or minimizing malnutrition, promoting well-being, and empowering patients and caregivers. Educommunication is a methodology that utilizes communication as a pedagogical tool, with the potential to positively enhance the teaching-learning process.

Digital dual test syphilis/HIV detection based on Fourier Descriptors of Cyclic Voltammetry curves.

Background: Effective and timely detection is vital for mitigating the severe impacts of Sexually Transmitted Infections (STI), including syphilis and HIV. Cyclic Voltammetry (CV) sensors have shown promise as diagnostic tools for these STI, offering a pathway towards cost-effective solutions in primary health care settings.

Objective: This study aims to pioneer the use of Fourier Descriptors (FDs) in analyzing CV curves as 2D closed contours, targeting the simultaneous detection of syphilis and HIV.

Management Solutions for the Restructuring of Laboratories Associated to the Sentinel Services for Syphilis and Other STIs.

This article aims to develop management solutions to accompany the processes of acquiring and distributing equipment and/or materials needed for the restructuring of associated laboratories to the sentinel services (Sentinel Laboratories) for syphilis and other sexually transmitted infection in the scope of the "Syphilis No!" Project. To this end, we have taken steps to create an overview of the restructuring project for the sentinel laboratories, define the stages of project execution, monitor the implementation of the project, and elaborate a standard operating procedure for the delivery of equipment and/or materials to the sentinel laboratories. Among the results, we highlight: the detailed workflow for the process of public procurement through direct purchases or bidding; the workflow for storage of the equipment and materials; the standard operating procedures (SOP) for contact with the laboratories; and the SOP for delivery of items acquired for the sentinel laboratories.

The relevance a technology ecosystem in the Brazilian National Health Service's Covid-19 response: the case of Rio Grande do Norte, Brazil.

Technological advances play an undeniable role in strengthening health systems. With regard to digital technologies, information systems and the analysis of health data are playing a growing role in health surveillance and preparing for and responding to disease outbreaks, the theme addressed by this article within the context of the Covid-19 pandemic in the State of Rio Grande do Norte. This study departs from the assumption that digital health interventions can increase Covid-19 response capacity.
