Therefore, the current study was carried out to better understand and establish the pathophysiological involvement of chronic inflammation in a double transgenic mouse model of Alzheimer's disease.
Main Methods: We analyzed amyloid-beta deposition, oxidative stress, biochemical, neurochemical and immunological markers in a 10month old (APΔE9) mouse model.
Patients with diabetes exhibit significantly altered renin-angiotensin system (RAS) control. Recently, it has been determined that hyperglycemic conditions induce an increase in angiotensin II (AT II) expression; specifically by cardiomyocytes. Altered RAS has been shown to be associated with an increase in oxidative stress and cardiac dysfunction leading to the development of cardiac hypertrophy.
