Evaluate the prevalence and severity of caries in permanent teeth and their association with the treatment needs of 8-12-year-old Mexican schoolchildren. The cross-sectional study was conducted on 1139 8-12-year-old schoolchildren attending two public primary schools in State of Mexico. The study used the International Caries Detection and Assessment System (ICDAS) to examine the prevalence of caries and identify treatment needs in schoolchildren.

Aim: To evaluate the association between the frequency and severity of dental fluorosis and Molar Incisor Hypomineralization (MIH) in 8-12-year-old schoolchildren living in an area with a high concentration of fluoride in the drinking water.
