Pesticides are widely used in agriculture where they do not only reach their targets but also distribute to other environmental compartments and negatively affect non-target organisms. To prospectively assess their environmental risk, several tools and models using pesticide persistence (DT) and leaching potential (groundwater ubiquity score (GUS), EXPOSIT) have been developed.
