Background: During the COVID-19 pandemic, negative working conditions in the nursing profession have worsened, and nurses have experienced various challenges that have increased their intention to leave work. Findings on the role of nurse performance under such conditions are limited.
Aims: This study aimed to investigate the role of performance in the effect of the challenges experienced by nurses during the pandemic on their intention to leave work.
Objectives: Ruminative thoughts play a significant role in the pathogenesis of disorders such as anxiety and depression. This study was conducted to investigate the impact of ruminative thoughts on the sexual functions of obese and non-obese women.
Methods: This case-control study included individuals sexually active women aged 18 and above, and under 46 years, who applied to the university hospital's obesity clinic in 2021 and had not previously been diagnosed with the patient and/or their partner with organic and/or psychiatric diseases that could cause sexual dysfunction and/or being under treatment, as well as pregnancy.
Educational assessments can affect students' mental health, particularly during a pandemic. Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) are widely efficacious for reducing test anxiety, as well as general anxiety and rumination. However, the effectiveness of these two therapies for students during COVID-19 is unclear.

Background: Alloimmune hemolytic disease of the newborn (AIHDN) results in hemolysis, anemia, hyperbilirubinemia with the potential for brain damage. Intravenous immunoglobulin (IVIG) has been investigated as an alternative low-risk procedure for the treatment of AIHDN in addition to traditional treatment methods such as phototherapy and exchange transfusion (ET).
Aim: To evaluate the effectiveness of IVIG therapy in decreasing ET needs based on risk factors and clinical outcomes.
Background: Operculoinsular cortectomy is increasingly recognized as a therapeutic avenue for perisylvian refractory epilepsy. However, most neurosurgeons are reluctant to perform this type of procedure because of feared neurological complications, especially in the language-dominant hemisphere, as the insula is involved in speech and language processes. The goal of this retrospective study is to quantify the incidence and types of speech and language deficits associated with operculoinsulectomies in the dominant hemisphere for language, and to identify factors associated with these complications.

One hundred IBD outpatients (39 active and 61 remission) attending the gastroenterology clinic and 100 healthy controls were included. The rumination and worry scores of IBD patients, particularly in their active period, were significantly higher than controls.

Method: This is a cross-sectional study performed in a research and training hospital. The study population consisted of 39 physicians.
Background: Post-traumatic embitterment disorder (PTED) is characterized by embitterment reaction to stressful life events, which are seen as unjust and as a violation of basic beliefs. On 28 February 1997, a so-called post-modern coup took place in Turkey, declaring a ban on hijab which had a significant impact on women's lives by eliminating them from public sphere if they were to wear hijab.
Aim: The aim of this study was to assess the frequency of PTED symptoms among woman victims of the coup after two decades, and to investigate its correlations.
Objective: This study aimed to investigate the underlying causes and outcomes of less than 1500 g birth weight infants who underwent acute peritoneal dialysis (PD).
Methods: Case records of infants with birthweight less than 1500 g from January 2015 to June 2018 were reviewed.
Results: The median (range) birth weight and gestational age of the patients were 720 g (555-1055) and 26 weeks (23-27.
Background: The aim of this study is to evaluate whether there is an association between the platelet mass and patent ductus arteriosus (PDA) closure in premature newborns.
Methods: Preterm infants (gestational age ≤33 weeks) with hemodynamically significant PDA (group 1, n = 178) and a control group of preterm infants without PDA (group 2, n = 211) were retrospectively evaluated between August 1, 2013 and July 30, 2015 in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU). Platelet counts and platelet indices including mean platelet volume (MPV), and platelet mass (platelet count x mean platelet volume) in the first 24 hours of life, demographic findings and morbidities were recorded.

To evaluate levetiracetam (LEV) efficacy in preterm infants admitted in NICU. Clinical characteristics of 26 preterm infants treated with LEV were evaluated retrospectively. The results were compared with those of 44 preterm infants from the literature who were given LEV.

Methods: This study was designed as a prospective study. Fifty-one premature infants less than 35 weeks of gestational age were included in the study.
Objective: The aim of this study is to evaluate whether the platelet mass in the first 24 h of life is effective on closure of patent ductus arteriosus (PDA) or not.
Study Design: Preterm infants with a gestational age of < 32 weeks, hospitalized at a tertiary neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) and requiring medical treatment (intravenous or oral ibuprofen) for hemodinamically significant PDA (hsPDA) were enrolled in this study. The patients were divided into two groups after first course of pharmacologic treatment according to closure of PDA (Group 1: PDA closure, Group 2: PDA without closure).
Introduction: Metabolic Syndrome (MetS) is basically a cluster of cardiovascular risks that involve changes in metabolic and hemodynamic indicators; various organizations have defined it with small differences. Metabolic syndrome is a lethal endocrinopathy starting with insulin resistance and inviting a chain of systemic disorders such as abdominal obesity, glucose intolerance or diabetes mellitus (DM), dyslipidemia, hypertension (HT) and coronary artery disease (CAD).
Material And Methods: This prospective and descriptive study was conducted at the Cardiology Clinic of a Private Hospital in Osmaniye between January 2014 and May 2014.

Introduction: The aim of the article is to investigate the beneficial effects of methylene blue (MB) on the acute phase of experimental corrosive esophageal burns.
Materials And Methods: A total of 21 male Sprague-Dawley rats were allocated into three groups with an equal number in each group. In Group 1 (control), the esophageal lumen was irrigated with saline.
Purpose: Necrotizing enterocolitis (NEC) is a serious condition, predominantly observed in premature infants. We used an experimental NEC model to investigate the effects of vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) cloned into a plasmid.
Materials And Methods: Twenty-four newborn Wistar albino rats were randomized equally into three groups as follows: control, NEC and NEC+VEGF.
Introduction: The aim of this study was to investigate the effects of dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO) on stricture formation in corrosive esophageal burns.
Materials And Methods: A total of 21 male rats were divided equally into three groups. In Group 1 (burn) and Group 2 (burn + DMSO) burns were induced in the distal esophagi with a 30% NaOH solution.

Background: One in 10,000 children experiences an anaphylactic attack, every year. It has been demonstrated that 82% of these attacks occur in children of school age and that most of the attack-related deaths have occurred in schools. In this study, we aimed to investigate primary school teachers' knowledge about and attitudes toward anaphylaxis.

Background: We hypothesized that Caesarean delivered babies might experience excessive weight loss during neonatal period.
Aim: To investigate amount of weight loss among Caesarean delivered babies with exclusive breastfeeding and to identify role of relative weight change (RWC) in early postnatal period on the growth of infants in subsequent months.
Methods: We studied healthy infants born ≥36 completed weeks, by Caesarean section between September 2008 and August 2009, with Apgar scores >7.
Background: It was suggested that gastric colonization with Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) was associated with suboptimal nutrition and growth in childhood. Furthermore, several studies indicated a relationship between H.
