Objectives: This study aims to assess the quality of life (QoL) of earthquake survivors who experienced 2 major earthquakes in Türkiye on February 6, 2023, with different measurement tools.
Methods: The study was conducted in 2 centers with a total of 467 participants. For QoL measurement, face-to-face Euroqol EQ-5D-5L, Euroqol Visual Analog Scale (EQ-VAS), and Nottingham Health Profile (NHP) measurement tools were used.
Objectives: Cosmetics are known to cause adverse events in users, and there is limited information on this topic both globally and in Türkiye. This study was conducted to assess the use of cosmetics, patterns, and characteristics of adverse cosmetic events (ACEs) among female nurses.
Materials And Methods: This cross-sectional study was conducted from February to April 2022 among registered female nurses with at least 1 year of work experience in a tertiary care hospital in Adana, Türkiye.
Background/aim: The study aimed to contribute to the literature with a reliable and valid scale for hospitals to be used in determining the current patient safety culture and following up on its development.
Materials And Methods: The study was conducted with the participation of 1137 healthcare professionals selected using the convenience sampling method in 3 secondary-care state hospitals and three research and training hospitals, one of which was affiliated with a medical faculty, and two were affiliated with the Health Sciences University. To begin with, to discover the latent structure of the items on the scale, an Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA) was performed.

Methods: The relationships between a set of health outcomes and a set of health system performance indicators of a developing country were examined using multivariate statistical analysis techniques. A combinative strategy of explanatory factor analysis and the canonical correlation coefficient was used to define linear structural relationships between study variables.

In this study, we studied the influence of zeolite compensation cations on the photopolymerization and the composite's properties. Modified zeolites (LTA 4 A and FAU 13X exchanged with K , Li , Sr , Ca or Mg ) were incorporated in PEGDA with BDMK as photoinitiator, and the formulation was cured under mild conditions (LED@405 nm, room temperature, under air).

Polyaniline (PANI) is a promising conducting polymer for surface modification of TiO to overcome limitations of the use of visible light and attain increased photocatalytic efficiency for the removal of organic contaminants. In this study, a series of polyaniline modified TiO (PANI-TiO) composites were prepared by using "in-situ" chemical oxidation polymerization method. The composites were systematically characterized by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (equipped with an attenuated total reflection accessory, FTIR-ATR), Raman spectroscopy, X-ray diffractometry (XRD), scanning electron microscopy coupled with energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (SEM-EDAX), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), ultraviolet-visible diffuse reflectance spectroscopy (UV-DRS), photoluminescence spectroscopy (PL), nitrogen (N) physisorption (Brunauer - Emmett - Teller surface area (S) and Barrett-Joyner-Halenda (BJH) pore size analysis), thermogravimetry-derivative thermogravimetry (TG-DTG) techniques.

Surface modification of TiO with polyaniline (PANI) conducting polymer has been used to achieve visible light photoresponse, thereby increasing solar photocatalytic activity. In this study, photocatalytic performances of PANI-TiO composites with different mole ratios were synthesized by the in situ chemical oxidation polymerization method and tested for the degradation of a model refractory organic matter (RfOM), namely humic acid in an aqueous medium under simulated solar irradiation in a comparative manner. Adsorptive interactions under dark conditions and interactions under irradiation were investigated as contributing factors to photocatalysis.

Recent evidence has shown that ubiquitin carboxy-terminal hydrolase-L1 (UCH-L1), a member of the deubiquitinating enzyme family that removes ubiquitin from protein substrates, is overexpressed in many types of cancer.

Objective: This study evaluates the self-practices with conventional and herbal drug use among ear, nose, and throat outpatients.
Methods: A cross-sectional survey-based study was carried out among all ear, nose, and throat outpatients on their first visit to the otorhinolaryngology department at a tertiary care hospital. The survey comprised a total of 14 questions with 4 different sections, including demographic characteristics, self-medication of conventional medicines, herbal medication usage, and perception regarding herbal medicines.
