HPAI viruses are among the most challenging viruses that threaten both human and animal health. Consequently, various strategies, such as the use of vaccines have been proposed to control the disease.

Background And Aim: The neurological processes responsible for irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) pathophysiology and its clinical potentials are not fully understood. The current study aimed to examine white matter microstructural abnormalities and the reasons behind white matter impairment in individuals with irritable bowel syndrome by performing a meta-analysis of diffusion tensor imaging studies.
Methods: PubMed, Scopus and Web of Science were searched until April 2024.
The increasing pressure on resources and the persistent failure to address global malnutrition are evident challenges. A significant contributing factor is the decline in the quality of production resources, particularly water. As a result, many countries and their experts have prioritized the need to balance resource consumption.

How choroidal melanocytes (CMs) participate in tissue homeostasis through paracrine signaling with neighboring cells is poorly understood. In this study, using two-dimensional and three-dimensional models, we aimed to identify proteins secreted by CMs under different oxidative stress conditions.

Regulated cell death, including pyroptosis, apoptosis, and necroptosis, is vital for the body's defense system. Recent research suggests that these three types of cell death are interconnected, giving rise to a new concept called PANoptosis. PANoptosis has been linked to various diseases, making it crucial to comprehend its mechanism for effective treatments.

This study aimed to design, implement, and evaluate a basic surgical skills bootcamp for residents in general surgery, orthopedics, neurosurgery, and gynecology based on the learning gap in the current educational program.
Methods: This intervention study focused on the design, implementation, and evaluation of a basic surgical skills bootcamp in a simulated operating room for first-year surgical residents in general surgery, orthopedics, neurosurgery, and gynecology.
The main purpose was to determine the abundance of dominant phyla, Bifidobacterium spp., and Lactobacillus in breast milk of obese mothers versus normal-weights in fourth month of lactation in Iranian population. Sixty health women at the fourth month of breastfeeding, aged 18-40 years, were included and categorized based on body mass index (BMI) to the obese (BMI ≥ 30 kg/m) and normal-weights (18.

Methods: We searched the databases PubMed (Medline), Scopus, CINHAL, OVID, ScienceDirect, JSTOR, JBI Database of Systematic Reviews & Implementation Reports and the Cochrane Database of Systematic Reviews through March 2024. Systematic reviews and meta-analyses on teledentistry were eligible for inclusion.
Background: Previous research has shown promising results for treating intracranial aneurysms (IAs) with a flow redirection endoluminal device (FRED). In this systematic review and meta-analysis, we aimed to assess the safety and efficacy of this device by providing pooled estimates using the data from previous studies.
Methods: A systematic literature search of Web of Sciences, PubMed, Scopus, and Embase was performed until October 8th, 2023.
The oral microbiome potentially wields significant influence in the development of cancer. Within the human oral cavity, an impressive diversity of more than 700 bacterial species resides, making it the second most varied microbiome in the body. This finely balanced oral microbiome ecosystem is vital for sustaining oral health.

Methods: Cultivated adult and neonatal hRPE cells were irradiated with two types of LLL (630 nm and 780 nm), 1 min daily for five consecutive days.
Results: An increase in doubling time was observed in 630 nm-irradiated adult hRPE cells ( = 0.
Copper is an essential element in the human body, involved in many physiological and metabolic functions, including coagulation, oxidative metabolism, and hormone production. The maintenance of copper homeostasis within cells is a complex procedure that is intrinsically controlled by a multitude of intricate mechanisms. Disorders of copper homeostasis encompass a wide range of pathological conditions, including degenerative neurological diseases, metabolic disorders, cardio-cerebrovascular diseases, and tumors.

Given the contradictory findings in the literature, it is imperative to investigate the longitudinal alterations in cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) soluble TREM2 (sTREM2) levels as a marker for microglia activation, and its potential association with AD biomarkers, in order to address the current knowledge gap. In this study, we aimed to assess the longitudinal changes in CSF sTREM2 levels within the framework of the A/T/N classification system for AD biomarkers and to explore potential associations with AD pathological features, including the presence of amyloid-beta (Aβ) plaques and tau aggregates.

Many studies show that ortho-phenylenediamine (OPD) produces an oxidized fluorescent product when exposed to an oxidizing agent that enables the direct or indirect fluorescence detection of a range chemical and biochemical analytes. However, there is no report on this unique optical behavior for other two isomers of phenylenediamine. This study demonstrates that a simple hydrothermal treatment of para-phenylenediamine (PPD) in the presence of sulfuric acid results in the formation of fluorescent N, S-doped carbon dots (CDs) with triple functionalities including the reduction of Au into gold nanoparticles (AuNPs), the stabilization of the produced AuNPs, and the determination of Au concentration through an intrinsic ratiometric fluorescence signal.
