Background: The aim of this study is to investigate the potential relationship between shoulder anatomical parameters and the shape of rotator cuff tears (L-shaped, U-shaped, and crescent-shaped).
Materials And Methods: The study included 160 (n:160) patients. Patients were divided into four groups: crescent type, u type and L type tears and control group.
Anxiety comorbidity in bipolar disorder (BD) is important and thus significantly affects the course of BD and its outcomes. The treatment of generalized anxiety disorder comorbid with BD involves certain challenges, as antidepressant medications, which are standard in the treatment of anxiety disorder, have the risk of shifting to manic episodes and rapid cycling. In this case report, the response to agomelatine treatment in generalized anxiety disorder comorbid with bipolar 1 disorder was evaluated.

This study employs Bayesian methodologies to explore the influence of player or positional factors in predicting the probability of a shot resulting in a goal, measured by the expected goals (xG) metric. Utilising publicly available data from StatsBomb, Bayesian hierarchical logistic regressions are constructed, analysing approximately 10,000 shots from the English Premier League (for the years of 2003 and 2015) to ascertain whether positional or player-level effects impact xG. The findings reveal positional effects in a basic model that includes only distance to goal and shot angle as predictors, highlighting that strikers and attacking midfielders exhibit a higher likelihood of scoring.

Coronary artery disease (CAD) is one of the basic types of CVDs, and early diagnosis of CAD is crucial for convenient treatment and decreasing mortality rates. In the literature, several studies use many features for CAD diagnosis.

Our aim was to investigate the clinical characteristics of adolescents with early-onset schizophrenia/schizoaffective disorder (EOS), categorized as either with (EOS + SUD) or without SUD (non-SUD/EOS), in a multi-center sample.
Methods: Between 2016 and 2022, 255 patients were evaluated across three tertiary-care inpatient units.
Objective: This study aims to evaluate the diagnostic effectiveness of radiography for developmental dysplasia of the hip (DDH) in infants being younger than six months by comparing the results with hips graded by Graf classification using ultrasonography (US). While US is standard for screening and diagnosing DDH in this age group, radiography may provide broader insights for screening programs and boost diagnostic precision.
Patients And Methods: This retrospective research involved 994 hips from 497 newborns and infants under six months old who underwent hip US and radiography for DDH screening from August 2020 to September 2021.
Automated brain tumor segmentation has significant importance, especially for disease diagnosis and treatment planning. The study utilizes a range of MRI modalities, namely T1-weighted (T1), T1-contrast-enhanced (T1ce), T2-weighted (T2), and fluid-attenuated inversion recovery (FLAIR), with each providing unique and vital information for accurate tumor localization. While state-of-the-art models perform well on standardized datasets like the BraTS dataset, their suitability in diverse clinical settings (matrix size, slice thickness, manufacturer-related differences such as repetition time, and echo time) remains a subject of debate.

Objective: The aim of this study was to examine whether joint step-off created experimentally at 3 mm and 5 mm in the tibial lateral plateau can be accurately evaluated by orthopedic surgeons on fluoroscopic images.
Patients And Methods: A lateral tibia plateau fracture was created experimentally on above-the-knee amputated material. Using a ruler, step-off at 3 mm and then at 5 mm was made on the joint surface, then joint and lateral fluoroscopy images were obtained.

Objective: We aimed to determine the role of American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) score and Charlson Comorbidity Index (CCI) in determining in-hospital mortality and other factors associated with mortality in patients over 65 years of age who underwent surgery for hip fracture during our study, including the COVID-19 process.
Patients And Methods: Between January 1st, 2020, and December 31st, 2021, 200 patients over 65 years of age who underwent hemiarthroplasty or internal fixation for hip fracture after low-energy trauma were retrospectively evaluated.
Results: Of the 200 patients included in the study, 130 were female and 70 were male.
Background: Elderly comprises a specific group due to possible alterations in the effects of drugs and comorbidities. We aimed to identify for the first time the characteristics and rates regarding the inappropriate prescriptions of cardiovascular system medications in the geriatric age group in Turkey.
Methods: Cardiovascular system medications prescribed electronically by family physicians to patients aged 65 and over, in the years 2015 and 2016, were obtained through Prescription Information System administered by the Ministry of Health.
To examine the effect on functional shoulder scores of Bankart repair with arthroscopic subscapularis tendon augmentation applied to cases of anterior shoulder instability with < 25% glenoid defect and ligament-labral failure. A total of 83 patients underwent Bankart repair with subscapularis tendon augmentation between 2015 and 2021. The range of movement of the patients was measured by 2 doctors using a goniometer.

It has been suggested that combining multi-spectral satellite information and machine learning approaches are effective to monitor plastic pollutants in the ocean environment. Recent research has made theoretical progress in identifying marine debris and suspected plastic (MD&SP) through machine learning whereas no study has fully explored the application of these methods for mapping and monitoring marine debris density.

In the field of biomedical imaging, ultrasonography has become common practice, and used as an important auxiliary diagnostic tool with unique advantages, such as being non-ionizing and often portable. This article reviews the state-of-the-art in medical ultrasound (US) image processing and in particular its applications in the examination of the lungs. First, we briefly introduce the basis of lung US (LUS) examination.

Integrin αvβ3 is generously expressed by and/or activated on cancer cells, but not by nonmalignant cells. In the present investigation, the anticancer efficacy of the dual targeting of norepinephrine transporter (NET), benzylguanidine (BG), and thyrointegrin αvβ3 receptors antagonist triazole tetraiodothyroacetic acid (TAT) conjugated via the non-cleavable linker polyethylene glycol (P, PEG400) in the treatment of human neuroblastoma was evaluated.
