Millimeter-wave and terahertz integrated circuits and chips are expected to serve as the backbone for future wireless networks and high resolution sensing. However, design of these integrated circuits and chips can be quite complex, requiring years of human expertise, careful tailoring of hand crafted circuit topologies and co-design with parameterized and pre-selected templates of electromagnetic structures. These structures (radiative and non-radiative, single-port and multi-ports) are subsequently optimized through ad-hoc methods and parameter sweeps.

Article Synopsis
  • The study compared clinical outcomes of rhegmatogenous retinal detachment (RRD) surgeries during COVID-related lockdowns (partial and complete) versus non-COVID periods in a tertiary ophthalmology clinic.
  • A total of 20 cases were analyzed for both partial and complete lockdowns, and 23 cases from non-COVID times, focusing on factors such as visual symptoms duration, lens status, and visual acuity.
  • Results showed no significant differences in surgical approaches or final visual acuity after two years across the different periods, suggesting that lockdowns did not impact the effectiveness of RRD surgeries.

Breast cancer is one of the most common types of cancer worldwide and has the most lethality ratio for females among all cancers. Although current cancer therapeutics have made considerable advancements, there is still room for improvement in terms of efficacy. Many anticancer drugs have a risk of causing serious adverse effects due to their nonspecific cytotoxic effects on both tumor and healthy cells.

Computed tomography (CT) has been recognized as a robust and dependable technique for delineating osseous alterations and anomalies within hard tissues. The necessity for accurate diagnosis and management of patients with temporomandibular disorders in dental practices has increasingly come to the forefront. There is ongoing scholarly debate regarding the equivalence of diagnostic outcomes yielded by cone beam computed tomography (CBCT), which offers greater accessibility in dental settings than traditional CT, in identifying bony changes within the temporomandibular joint (TMJ).

Purpose: To evaluate the importance of the status of posterior vitreous in eyes with endophthalmitis following intravitreal anti-vascular endothelial growth factor (anti-VEGF).

Methods: The absence or existence of posterior vitreous detachment (PVD) was elicited in 23 eyes of 23 patients with injection related endophthalmitis, during pars plana vitrectomy (PPV) and compared with 24 control eyes of 24 patients who received intravitreal anti-VEGF without any complication.

Results: Thirtten (54.

Background: This study aims to assess pediatric patients with Open Globe Injury (OGI) using the Modified Pediatric Ocular Trauma Score (MPOTS) and to investigate the correlation between Neutrophil-to-Lymphocyte ratio (NLR) and Platelet-to-Lympho-cyte ratio (PLR) parameters with the prognosis determined by MPOTS.

Methods: In this retrospective study, we included pediatric patients with OGI. Recorded data encompassed demographic details, injury type, duration from injury to surgery, complete ophthalmological examinations, initial and final visual acuities, anterior segment and fundus findings, and NLR and PLR values.

Purpose: To evaluate the retinal and choroidal vascular structures in patients with anxiety disorders.

Methods: Thirthy-four eyes of 34 patients who were diagnosed with any anxiety disorders were compared with 32 eyes of 32 age- and sex-matched controls. Central macular thickness (CMT), foveal vascular zone (FAZ) area, total retinal vascular densities of superficial and deep capillary plexus (VDSCP, VDDCP), outer retinal and choriocapillary layers (ORL, CCL) blood flow rates, central subfoveal choroidal thickness (SFCT) and choriodal vascularity index (CVI) were evaluated with optical coherence tomography angiography (OCT-A) and enhanced depth imaging optical coherence tomography (EDI-OCT).

Humans differ from each other in a wide range of biometrics, but to what extent brain connectivity varies between individuals remains largely unknown. By combining diffusion-weighted imaging (DWI) and magnetoencephalography (MEG), this study characterizes the inter-subject variability (ISV) of multimodal brain connectivity. Structural connectivity is characterized by higher ISV in association cortices including the core multiple-demand network and lower ISV in the sensorimotor cortex.
