The aim of this study was to assess nursing students' perceptions of spiritual care, their attitudes toward death, and the impact of a palliative spiritual care course on these perceptions and attitudes. This study employed a quasi-experimental design with a pre-test/post-test structure and two groups. Data were collected through the Spirituality and Spiritual Care Rating Scale and Death Attitude Profile-Revised.

Aim: To determine the relationship between moral sensitivity, spiritual care perception, and compassion fatigue among nurses caring for earthquake victims.
Methods: The study population consisted of 483 nurses working in public, private, and university hospitals in earthquake-affected areas in Turkey.
Background: The attitudes of nurses should be measured using valid and reliable tools to develop effective nursing care strategies for the prevention of medical device-related pressure injuries and to organize necessary training programs.
Purpose: This study was planned to conduct the Turkish validity and reliability study of the Attitude towards Medical Device-Related Pressure Ulcers/Injuries Questionnaire (MDRPU/I Questionnaire (the English-language version)) in nurses.
Methods: This methodological study included 134 nurses working in hospitals of different sizes and characteristics (public hospitals, training and research hospitals, and university hospitals) in Turkey.
Antibacterial resistance and cancer are worldwide challenges and have been defined as major threats by international health organizations. Peptides are produced naturally by all organisms and have a variety of immunomodulatory, physiological, and wound-healing properties. They can also provide protection against microorganisms and tumor cells.

The determination of the constants of the dipeptide is interesting and necessary for a full understanding of its activities in biological process. In this study, the protonation constants of some aliphatic alanine dipeptides (alanyl-alanine, alanyl-phenylalanine, alanyl-valine, alanyl-leucine, and alanyl-methionine) were studied in water and ethanol-water mixtures (20%ethanol-80%water;40%ethanol-60%water;60%ethanol-40%water, (v/v)) at 25 ± 0.

In this study, we investigated the effects of using Epidermal growth factor (EGF) and NPWTmodalities alone or in combination on the frequency and level of amputation. In the retrospective study, which included 286 patients in total, 76 patients were referred with the decision of amputation or amputation was planned during hospitalization.

This study aimed to analyze the effect of a toy (with music and movement) distraction method on fear and anxiety in children aged 4 to 6 years.
Methods: This experimental, randomized clinical trial used parallel trial design guided by the Consolidated Standards of Reporting Trials checklist.
We investigated how proanthocyanidin treatment altered c-Jun N-terminal kinases, transforming growth factor beta 1, serine/threonine-specific protein kinase, interleukin 1 beta and insulin-like 3 expression in the testis of diabetic rats. We used 24 Wistar albino male rats divided into four groups. Group 1 was untreated control.

Purpose: To investigate the relationships among self-care agency, health perception, and ADL in patients after tracheostomy.
Methods: A cross-sectional multisite descriptive study was conducted between December 31, 2019, and March 31, 2020.
Unlabelled: A patient with a tracheostomy may have impaired body perception, reduced life satisfaction, and a need for psychological help after discharge.
Purpose: This study aimed to investigate the relationships among body perception, life satisfaction, and attitude toward seeking psychological help in patients with a tracheostomy after discharge.
Methods: The data were collected between November 2019 and January 2020.
Introduction: Evaluating small nerve fibers in patients with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) using cutaneous silent period (CSP) and skin biopsy and assesssing the relationship between clinical signs, autoantibodies and neuropathic pain score.
Objective - Methods: Fifty one SLE patients and 46 healthy volunteers were included in this study. Nerve conduction studies and CSP were performed both on upper and lower limbs in subjects.
Purpose: The present study investigated the effects of psychoeducation based on a cognitive-behavioral approach on premenstrual syndrome (PMS) symptoms in young adult women.
Design And Methods: The study was performed as a randomized controlled trial. The sample size was identified as 90 (45 intervention group/45 control group) students.
Unlabelled: In numerous countries, lay (family) caregivers are the primary providers of care for community-dwelling patients with a tracheostomy.
Purpose: The purpose of this descriptive study was to determine health care practices and the burden on family caregivers for patients with a tracheostomy living at home.
Methods: The research population included 50 caregivers (average age 55.
Introduction: Tracheostomy is defined as the surgical procedure for creating an opening at the 3rd or 4th cartilage ring in the anterior wall of the trachea to provide airway patency. It was known that tracheostomy is regarded as the oldest known life-saving method. Tracheostomy care involves a complex care process that requires knowledge and skills for elderly patients and their caregivers.

In the present study, we aimed to clarify changes in PDS and NIS protein expression, in the testicular tissue of prepubertal and post pubertal rats at normal or diabetic conditions. Forty Wistar albino male rats (20 prepubertal and 20 post pubertal) were divided into four groups, as follows: group I was prepubertal control, group II was prepubertal diabetic (60 mg/kg intraperitoneal [ip] streptozotocin [STZ]), group III was post pubertal control, and group IV was post pubertal diabetic (60 mg/kg ip STZ).

Peristomal skin problems represent one of the most common complications of a tracheostomy. A quasi-experimental study was conducted among patients ages 18 to 65 years hospitalized in a Turkish university hospital ear-nose-throat clinic between August 15, 2013, and December 15, 2013, to compare the effect of using or not using a barrier cream on the peristomal skin with regard to pH, moisture, temperature, color, odor, turgor, infections, and lesions after tracheostomy surgery. Patients were selected using a purposeful sampling method and included if they had not undergone another operation for a complication (eg, pneumothorax, tube misplacement, hemorrhage) within 24 hours following the tracheostomy operation.

Potassium bromate (KBrO) is used in many countries in cosmetic and food industries. In this work, we investigated in male Sprague-Dawley rats, the effect of four graded oral doses of KBrO (5, 15, 45 and 135 mg/kg/day for 28 days) on renal function tests, inflammation, oxidative damage, and apoptosis, as well as on histopathology, using several traditional and novel renal injury biomarkers in plasma, urine and renal tissues. We also tested the possible ameliorative action of the renoprotective prebiotic agent gum acacia (GA) on the actions of KBrO when given concomitantly with it in the drinking water at a concentration of 15%.

Sitagliptin was given to the animals at an oral dose of 10mgkg per day for 10days, and in some of these mice, GEN was injected intraperitoneally at a dose of 100mgkg per day during the last seven days of the treatment. Nephrotoxicity was evaluated histopathologically by light microscopy and biochemically by measuring several indices in plasma, urine and renal cortex homogenates.
