Article Synopsis
  • - Between 1983 and 2016, 14 children with tetralogy of Fallot and a specific heart anomaly (anomalous coronary artery crossing the pulmonary infundibulum) were operated on, making their repairs complex.
  • - The surgical technique involved enlarging the right ventricular outflow tract beneath the mobilized coronary artery, successfully relieving obstruction in all patients without injuring the artery.
  • - The results showed no in-hospital deaths or need for additional procedures on the coronary anomaly, indicating that mobilizing the artery often eliminates the need for extra support devices like an extracardiac conduit.
