The purpose of this study was to explore the spiritual experiences of long-term Brahma Kumaris Raja Yoga (a spiritually focused meditation practice) meditators who have been diagnosed with cancer and to understand how their long-term meditation practice influenced their ability to face the physical, emotional, and spiritual challenges of surviving cancer. Interpretative phenomenological analysis was used to investigate the lived experience of spirituality as described by three cancer survivors. Participants with a history of a cancer diagnosis were sought from the Brahma Kumaris Raja Yoga meditation centers across the USA.

Little is known about the influence of asthma status on humoral and cell-mediated immune responses to measles-mumps-rubella (MMR) vaccine viruses. We compared the virus-specific IgG levels and lymphoproliferative response of peripheral blood mononuclear cells to MMR vaccine viruses between asthmatic and nonasthmatic patients. The study subjects included 342 healthy children aged 12-18 years who had received two doses of the MMR vaccine.

Helicobacter pylori infection is highly prevalent worldwide and is an important cause of gastritis, peptic ulcer disease, gastric mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue lymphoma (MALToma), and gastric adenocarcinoma. Infection is usually acquired during childhood and tends to persist unless treated. Because eradication requires treatment with multidrug regimens, prevention of initial infection by a suitable vaccine is attractive.
