Thus, the purpose of this study was to investigate the underlying mechanisms of pulmonary EMT after subacute exposure to SiNPs. The results showed intratracheal instillation of SiNPs increased the pulmonary MDA content, while decreased the activity of SOD and GSH-Px in rats.
