Purpose: Immunoglobulin A (IgA) nephropathy (IgAN) is a common chronic glomerulonephritis and the main cause of end-stage renal diseases. Recent evidence suggests that mannan binding lectin associated serine proteases 2 (MASP2) is related to IgAN; therefore, we investigated the expression and significance of MASP2 in serum and urinary extracellular vesicles (UEVs) in patients with IgAN.

Methods: Thirty-eight patients with IgAN and 17 healthy controls were enrolled in this study.

Background: Chromosome is the carrier of genetic material. Chromosome aberrations will lead to the increase or loss of genetic material, which is an important factor for early miscarriages and birth defects of newborn. Prenatal diagnosis is one of the effective approaches to find fetus with early genetic abnormalities.

Six isolates of Arthrobotrys musiformis and five isolates of Arthrobotrys robusta were assessed in in vitro test regarding the capacity of prey larvae of the natural mixed trichostrongylides. In 5 isolates of A. robusta, the decrease percentage of infective larvae (L3) of trichostrongylides ranged from 97.

Article Synopsis
  • - The study examined the predatory effectiveness of 157 strains of *Arthrobotrys oligospora* on trichostrongylide larvae found in sheep feces, revealing that 135 isolates significantly decreased larvae development by 90-99.99%.
  • - Out of 50 isolates tested on sheep, 16 showed a notable reduction in larvae after passing through the gastrointestinal tract, with a reduction rate between 42.87% and 99.51%.
  • - Further tests on goats indicated that 11 of these isolates could survive the digestive system and maintain their larval predation capability, demonstrating potential for use as a feed additive for managing parasitic infections.

To screen potential nematophagous fungi candidates for the biological control of parasitic nematodes in livestock, in vitro and in vivo studies of the native isolates of nematophagous fungi against the larvae of trichostrongylides were conducted. The in vitro predatory activity of 16 native nematophagous fungal isolates on the larvae of trichostrongylides in sheep feces was assessed. In the ten isolates of Duddingtonia flagrans, the reduction percentage for the infective larvae (L3) of Trichostrongylus colubriformis ranged from 57.
