Growth differentiation factor 15 (GDF15) plays an essential role in energy homeostasis and is considered an anti-obesity factor; however, elevated serum levels of endogenous GDF15 have been reported in certain individuals with obesity. This study aimed to identify radiotherapy dosimetric parameters related to local failure (LF)-free survival (LFFS) in patients with lung and liver oligometastases from colorectal cancer treated with stereotactic body radiotherapy (SBRT). Parkinson's disease (PD) is a widespread age-related neurodegenerative disorder characterized by the presence of an aggregated protein, α-synuclein (α-syn), which is encoded by the gene and localized to presynaptic terminals in a normal human brain. The α-syn aggregation is induced by the 1-methyl-4-phenyl-1,2,3,6-tetrahydropyridine (MPTP) mitochondrial neurotoxin and is therefore used to mimic PD-like pathology in various in vitro and in vivo models. Extracellular vesicles (EVs) are promising therapeutic biomaterials capable of transferring their cargo molecules and external drugs to other cells in vivo and contain various biomarkers that can be used in liquid biopsies. The clinical application of EVs requires an efficient EV enrichment system for the large-scale production or high-throughput isolation of EVs from liquid samples, such as culture media, plant juices, and body fluids. However, current EV enrichment methods, such as ultrafiltration and ultracentrifugation, have limited applicability owing to their associated costs, inefficiency, scalability, and centrifugation time.
