Red pandas () are endangered with extinction due to deforestation and habitat fragmentation. Reported causes of unexpected death in managed red pandas include kidney, liver, gastrointestinal, and cardiac disease. A previously undetailed syndrome, red panda peracute mortality syndrome, may be emerging, as red pandas have died unexpectedly, with no clear cause of death identified at necropsy.

Substance use disorder severity is associated with sensitivity to effort-related decision-making constraints.

Introduction: Peer supporters play a crucial role in mental health and support services, but their own mental health and emotional well-being are often neglected by themselves, and, frequently, their organisations. Here, we report findings from a qualitative interview study of peer supporters who completed a co-produced emotional well-being training programme.

Method: Ten semi-structured interviews with peer supporters working in the North East of England were conducted to explore their experiences of the training programme.

Effect of Axillary Radiograph Rotation and Medial Scapular Visualization on Glenoid Retroversion Measurement.

Objectives: Axillary radiographs enable the measurement of glenoid retroversion, which is associated with worsened clinical outcomes and glenoid loosening following total shoulder arthroplasty. Due to the variability in radiographic technique, this study aims to determine if the accuracy of retroversion measured by axillary radiograph is affected by 1) scapular rotation and/or 2) proper visualization of the medial scapula.

Methods: Using five cadaveric scapulae, investigators obtained axillary radiographs in true neutral position as well as in 10° and 20° of anterior and posterior rotation.

Our primary goal was to determine the incidence of revision surgery and hardware removal following the Lapidus bunionectomy in addition to the risk factors associated with each. A retrospective nested case-control study of adult patients who underwent a Lapidus bunionectomy for symptomatic hallux valgus over a 9-year period was performed.
