Background: There has been significant improvement in treating metastatic non-small-cell lung cancer (mNSCLC) over the past 2 decades. The aim of this study is to describe the use of tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKIs) in Qatar. This study focuses on the objective response rate (ORR) and reported adverse drug events (ADEs) of TKIs used for the management of patients with mNSCLC.

Immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) including anti-PD-1 and anti-PD-L1 antibodies, have significantly changed the treatment outcomes with better overall survival, but only 15-40% of the patients respond to ICIs therapy. The search for predictive biomarkers of responses is warranted for better clinical outcomes.

The aim of this study was to perform a systematic review of the literature to summarize D-TGCT-TMJ management regimes and recurrence rates with at least 12 months of follow-up. Our secondary aim was to propose a minimum period of post-operative follow-up.

However, 15-40% of the patients still fail to respond to ICIs therapy. Identification of biomarkers associated with responses are mandated in order to increase the efficacy of such therapy.

No cases of velopharyngeal dysfunction (VPD) following LPM BtA injection have been reported to date. This report details the perioperative and follow-up findings for a patient developing VPD following LPM BtA injection.

When faced with several failed therapeutic regimens and rapid progression of the disease, considering alternative therapies such as radiopharmaceutical therapies may be an option.

Case Presentation: We are presenting a 53-year-old female, diagnosed with CCE 17 years ago, who was treated initially with hysterectomy and left salpingo-oophorectomy, who relapsed a few months later, and was then treated with left pelvic mass excision and sigmoidectomy.
Ovarian mucinous tumors with mural nodules are rare. The mural nodules are microscopically divergent neoplasms of varying sizes that may be benign (eg, sarcoma-like and carcinosarcoma-like), or malignant (eg, anaplastic carcinoma and sarcoma). The K-RAS gene mutation in ovarian mucinous neoplasms with mural nodules has not been previously reported.

The aim of this study is to review the axillary LN FNAs performed at our institution prior to treatment, and to correlate their results with the available LN histology in order to evaluate the diagnostic utility of FNA.
Study Design: A total of 130 cases were retrospectively identified over a 1-year period and reviewed.
Objective: This study aimed to follow a large group of US women with negative computer-imaged liquid-based cytology (LBC) and positive high risk (hr) HPV DNA results.
Methods: Negative LBC and positive hrHPV cases were identified between July 1, 2005 and December 31, 2009. Cytologic and histopathologic follow-up results, repeat HPV results, and prior history were analyzed.
Pemphigus vulgaris is an autoimmune bullous disease that involves skin and mucous membrane. Although the female genital tract is rarely affected, its cytomorphologic features on a conventional cervicovaginal smear have been notoriously described with a possibility of being misdiagnosed as neoplastic lesions. Its cytological mimicry for squamous cell carcinoma has been described as having serious misdiagnostic potential, particularly if appropriate clinical information is not provided.

Pleomorphic lobular carcinoma of the breast is a high nuclear grade variant of lobular carcinoma. E-cadherin, a tumor-invasion suppressor gene, codes for a transmembrane protein that functions in intercellular adhesion. The E-cadherin protein internal domain binds with alpha, beta, gamma, and p120 catenins to anchor the E-cadherin complex to the actin cytoskeleton of the cell.

The cost implications of this increased EM sampling have not been specifically addressed. The aim of this study was to assess the cost effectiveness of EM sampling in women ages >or=40 years with nEMC in their Papanicolaou tests.

However, the significance of ASC-H in pregnant women remains to be elucidated. The objective of this study was to investigate the clinical implications and pathologic significance of ASC-H in pregnant women, so that these patients will be managed appropriately.

A computer search identified 250 Papanicolaou smears from women older than 45 years with a diagnosis of ASC- H. Cases were considered perimenopausal (45 to < 55 years; 150 cases) and postmenopausal ((3)55 years; 100 cases).

The objectives of this study are to identify the cytomorphologic features of HSIL, in Pap smears of postmenopausal Pap women, and to investigate the possible criteria that could lead to an inaccurate interpretation and false-positive results. Forty Pap smears that were reported as HSIL in postmenopausal women were reviewed.

Some benign papillary lesions may form well-defined solid masses with a dominant sclerosed architecture, known as complex sclerosing papillary lesion or simply sclerosing papilloma. The purpose of this study is to apply the previously published criteria for papillary lesions and to identify the cytomorphologic findings that lead to false-positive diagnosis of these cases.

Study Design: A retrospective study of 412 atrophic Pap smears from postmenopausal women was done to detect the presence of Bbs. The smears from 24 cases showing Bbs were further studied to evaluate the nature of the Bbs with special stains, immunohistochemistry and electron microscopy.
There are several subtypes of lobular carcinoma (LC), and their cytomorphologic features differ from classic lobular carcinoma (CLC). The finer details of the differences between CLC and variant lobular carcinoma (VLC) have not been adequately studied. A comparative study of 54 cases of CLC and VLC was done in order to verify any statistically significant differences between them.

The Breast Care Consultation Center (BCCC) is a multidisciplinary center providing, in a single setting, a complete outpatient facility for women who have been diagnosed with or suspected of having breast cancer. A team of specialists are available to provide comprehensive, diagnostic (radiologist, surgeon, and pathologist), therapeutic (surgeon, radiotherapist, and medical oncologist), and support options. The pathologist, as a member of the diagnostic team, evaluates the material obtained or received at the BCCC.

Objective: To delineate the cytomorphologic features seen in cancer of the breast during pregnancy and lactation, to compare them to the cytomorphologic parameters in benign conditions and to determine the feasibility of differentiating features of malignant breast carcinoma from those of benign breast lesions during pregnancy.
Study Design: The study group consisted of pregnant or lactating women with breast carcinoma and with benign breast lesions who underwent fine needle aspiration (FNA) of the breast lesions. The findings of FNA were reviewed, analyzed, tabulated and correlated with the pathologic diagnosis of the breast biopsies.
Background: Extraovarian müllerian adenocarcinoma (EOM) resembles primary ovarian carcinoma (POC) both histologically and clinically, yet little is known regarding the molecular genetic characteristics of this entity. The objective of this study was to compare the expression of three molecular markers of tumor behavior in EOMs and POCs.
Methods: Forty-four patients meeting strict criteria for EOM were identified and matched to POC controls for age, stage, tumor histology and grade, cytoreductive surgery, and survival.
