Background: Numerous tools based on electronic health record (EHR) data that predict risk of unscheduled care and mortality exist. These are often criticised due to lack of external validation, potential for low predictive ability and the use of thresholds that can lead to large numbers being escalated for assessment that would not have an adverse outcome leading to unsuccessful active case management. Purpose: Advancements in medical treatments and increased access to healthcare have significantly extended the life expectancy of children with neurological disorders. However, this has also led to a higher incidence of secondary health issues, such as nephrolithiasis. This review aims to analyze the risk factors, management, and treatment outcomes for stone disease in children with neurological disorders and focus on specific risk factors such as immobilization, urinary tract infections, and metabolic abnormalities to identify key points in the occurrence of nephrolithiasis.

Pediatric refractive surgery treats refractive errors and their associated comorbidities such as amblyopia and strabismus in special needs children intolerant of spectacles or contact lenses. Children with neurobehavioral disorders undergoing refractive surgery have improvements in visual acuity, communication, socialization, motor skills, adaptive behaviors, visual perception, and cognitive function. Contrary to adults, amblyopia is frequently an indication for refractive surgery in special needs children.

Background And Purpose: Information in multiparametric Magnetic Resonance (mpMR) images is relatable to voxel-level tumor response to Radiation Treatment (RT). We have investigated a deep learning framework to predict (i) post-treatment mpMR images from pre-treatment mpMR images and the dose map ("forward models"), and, (ii) the RT dose map that will produce prescribed changes within the Gross Tumor Volume (GTV) on post-treatment mpMR images ("inverse model"), in Breast Cancer Metastases to the Brain (BCMB) treated with Stereotactic Radiosurgery (SRS).

Background: Soft tissue sarcomas (STS), have significant inter- and intra-tumoral heterogeneity, with poor response to standard neoadjuvant radiotherapy (RT). Methods: We performed a literature search of MEDLINE, EMBASE, and CINAHL databases including studies evaluating patient, oncological, or treatment factors against one of five mental wellbeing outcomes; depression, anxiety, fear of cancer recurrence, masculinity, and body image perception. Data synthesis included a random effects meta-analysis for the prognostic effect of individual factors if sufficient homogenous data was available, with a structured narrative synthesis where this was not possible.
