[Hernial epidemiology in Poland].

Hernia repair surgeries consist an important issue in the daily routine of many surgical wards. Moreover hernias remain a relevant economical and social problem. The aim of this study was to evaluate data obtained from the Polish National Fund of Health (NFH) and National Consultant in General Surgery regarding hernia repair surgeries in Poland between years 2004-2006.
