Intracranial Hypertension (ICHT) is identified as the elevation of Cerebrospinal Fluid (CSF) pressure in patients devoid of any underlying causes. [Fe(en)(tren)][FeSe] ( = ethylenediamine, CHN, = tris(2-aminoethyl)amine, CHN) has been synthesized by a mixed-ligand solvothermal method. Its crystal structure contains heteroleptic [Fe(en)(tren)] complexes with distorted octahedral coordination, incorporated between 1D-FeSe chains composed of edge-sharing FeSe tetrahedra. The twisted octahedral coordination environment of the Fe-amine complex leads to partial dimerization of Fe-Fe distances in the FeSe chains so that the FeSe polyhedra deviate strongly from the regular tetrahedral geometry.

Arsenic (As) is a highly cytotoxic element impairing normal cellular functions, and its bioremediation has become one of the environmental concerns. This study explored the molecular and physiological responses of thyme (Thymus kotschyanus) seedlings to incorporating As (0 and 10 mgl) and methyl jasmonate (MJ; 0 and 10 µM) into the culture medium. Background: Pseudotumor cerebri (PTC) or idiopathic intracranial hypertension (IIH) is characterized by elevated intracranial pressure without hydrocephalus or mass lesion, with normal cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) studies and neuroimaging. The exact cause remains uncertain, but potential mechanisms include increased CSF production, impaired CSF absorption, cerebral edema, and abnormal cerebral venous pressure gradients. Patients may present with various accompanying symptoms such as unilateral or bilateral visual obscuration, pulsatile tinnitus, back pain, dizziness, neck pain, blurred vision, cognitive difficulties, radicular pain, and typically intermittent horizontal diplopia.

A novel mixed-valent hybrid chiral and polar compound, FeAsSe(en)(HO), has been synthesized by a single-step solvothermal method. The crystal structure consists of 1D [FeSe] chains connected via [AsSe]-Se pentagonal linkers and charge-balancing interstitial [Fe(en)] complexes ( = ethylenediamine). Amorphous bulk metallic glasses with the composition FeCrMoCBYhave been of interest due to their special mechanical and electronic properties, including corrosion resistance, high yield-strength, large elasticity, catalytic performance, and soft ferromagnetism. Here, we apply a reverse Monte Carlo technique to unravel the atomic structure of these glasses. The pair-distribution functions for various atomic pairs are computed based on the high-energy x-ray diffraction data we have taken from an amorphous sample.
