Introduction: The majority of medication apps support medication adherence. Equally, if not more important, is medication safety. Few apps report on medication safety, and fewer studies have been conducted with these apps.

Acceptance of clinical decision support surveillance technology in the clinical pharmacy.

Introduction: There are clinical and economic benefits to incorporating clinical decision support systems (CDSSs) in patient care interventions in the clinical pharmacy setting. However, user dissatisfaction and resistance to HIT can prevent optimal use of such systems, particularly when users employ system workarounds and overrides.

Objectives: The present study applied a modified version of the unified theory of acceptance and use of technology (UTAUT) to evaluate the disposition and satisfaction with CDSS among clinical pharmacists who perform surveillance to identify potential medication therapy interventions on patients in the hospital setting.

Information-seeking behavior of women in their path to an innovative alternate treatment for symptomatic uterine fibroids.

Objectives: The purpose of the study was to discover how women found out about uterine fibroid embolization (UFE) for the treatment of symptomatic uterine fibroids.

Methods: The study retrospectively tracked women from the beginning of their illnesses and analyzed their information-seeking behaviors. Twenty-eight women who had the procedure at the Detroit Medical Center were interviewed using a standard script.

Influence of information sources on the adoption of uterine fibroid embolization by interventional radiologists.

Objectives: The purpose of the research was to (1) understand the influence of information sources on the awareness and adoption of uterine fibroid embolization (UFE) by interventional radiologists in Michigan and (2) to decipher communication relations in the social network of interventional radiologists that were most conducive to the flow of information about UFE.

Methods: Diffusion of innovations theory and constructs in social network analysis formed the basis for the development of an interview guide. Thirty-two interventional radiologists in Michigan were interviewed over the phone.
