The Smart City (SC) framework is popular due to its advancement in enhancing lives and public safety. However, these advancements lead to many challenges due to the dependency of Internet of Things (IoT) devices in terms of electronic waste and resource consumption. To address those challenges, the integration of a weather-smart grid (WSG) with SC becomes crucial to safeguard the environment and residents' well-being.

Cardiovascular disease (CVD) is the most fatal disease in the world, so its accurate and automated detection in the early stages will certainly support the medical expert in timely diagnosis and treatment, which can save many lives. Many types of research have been carried out in this regard, but due to the problem of data imbalance in the medical and health care sector, it may not provide the desired results in all aspects. To overcome this problem, a sequential ensemble technique has been proposed that detects 6 types of cardiac arrhythmias on large ECG imbalanced datasets, and the data imbalanced issue of the ECG dataset has been addressed by using a hybrid data resampling technique called "Synthetically Minority Oversampling Technique and Tomek Link (SMOTE + Tomek)".

Introduction: There is some evidence that homeopathic treatment has been used successfully in previous epidemics, and currently some countries are testing homeoprophylaxis for the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic. There is a strong tradition of homeopathic treatment in India: therefore, we decided to compare three different homeopathic medicines against placebo in prevention of COVID-19 infections.

Methods: In this double-blind, cluster-randomized, placebo-controlled, four parallel arms, community-based, clinical trial, a 20,000-person sample of the population residing in Ward Number 57 of the Tangra area, Kolkata, was randomized in a 1:1:1:1 ratio of clusters to receive one of three homeopathic medicines ( 30cH, 30cH, 30cH) or identical-looking placebo, for 3 (children) or 6 (adults) days.

We analyze a model where the government has to decide whether to impose a lockdown in a country to prevent the spread of a possibly virulent disease. If the government decides to impose a lockdown, it has to determine its intensity, timing and duration. We find that there are two competing effects that push the decision in opposite directions.

This paper describes a mathematical model of a solid oxide fuel cell (SOFC) power plant integrated in a multimachine power system. The utilization factor of a fuel stack maintains steady state by tuning the fuel valve in the fuel processor at a rate proportional to a current drawn from the fuel stack. A suitable fuzzy logic control is used for the overall system, its objective being controlling the current drawn by the power conditioning unit and meet a desirable output power demand.
