Anthraquinones are privileged chemical scaffolds that have been used for centuries in various therapeutic applications. The anthraquinone moiety forms the core of various anticancer agents. However, the emergence of drug-resistant cancers warrants the development of new anticancer agents.

 To determine the knowledge base of common laboratory practices related to preanalytical phase of laboratory testing among medical interns and first-year postgraduate residents in a tertiary care hospital medical college.  Questionnaire-based survey on preanalytical phase of laboratory testing was conducted among 208 participants, who volunteered and were MBBS interns and first-year postgraduate residents in a medical college, over the period from June 2018 to December 2019. A total of 15-item, multiple-choice questions (MCQs) were included, of which four were opinion-based and not considered for analysis.

Evaluation of antihypotensive techniques for cesarean section under spinal anesthesia: Rapid crystalloid hydration versus intravenous ephedrine.

Efficacy of stellate ganglion block with an adjuvant ketamine for peripheral vascular disease of the upper limbs.

Stellate ganglion block (STGB) is commonly indicated in painful conditions like reflex sympathetic dystrophy, malignancies of head and neck, Reynaud's disease and vascular insufficiency of the upper limbs. The sympathetic blockade helps to relieve pain and ischaemia.
