Text entry is a critical capability for any modern computing experience, with lightweight augmented reality (AR) glasses being no exception. Designed for all-day wearability, a limitation of lightweight AR glass is the restriction to the inclusion of multiple cameras for extensive field of view in hand tracking. This constraint underscores the need for an additional input device.

Identifying the influence of applicant and writer gender in LOR will help identify whether potential implicit gender bias exists in physical therapy residency application processes.
Review Of Literature: Several medical and surgical residency education programs have reported positive, neutral, or negative LOR female gender bias among applicants and writers.
Splenic marginal zone lymphoma (SMZL) usually presents with splenomegaly or symptoms related to cytopenia. We report a case of a 56-year-old female with previously diagnosed antiphospholipid syndrome (APS) on warfarin therapy who initially presented with abdominal pain and was found to have massive splenomegaly and splenic infarction on CT imaging. Initial clinical presentations and imaging findings were attributed to the subtherapeutic coagulation profile.

A 'roadmap' for strengthening global health systems for improved musculoskeletal health was launched in 2021.

Gender stereotyping is the practice of assigning or ascribing specific characteristics, differences, or identities to a person solely based on their gender. Biased conceptions of gender can create barriers to equality and need to be proactively identified and addressed. In biomedical education, letters of recommendation (LOR) are considered an important source for evaluating candidates' past performance.

There are limited studies showing a wide prevalence of GIOP in Africa. Prospective studies are needed on GIOP in African rheumatology patients to implement appropriate management algorithms.

Immune-related adverse events (irAE) such as endocrinopathies have been reported after patients received ICI. We report a case of pembrolizumab-induced hyperthyroidism and type 1 diabetes mellitus (DM1) presenting with diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA).

Background: Miscarriage is defined as an adverse and unexpected termination of pregnancy; it is the most frequent pregnancy complication. Here, we aimed to identify the factors predisposing to miscarriage in pregnant women in Eastern Algeria and the effect of the combination of several factors, including maternal Body Mass Index (BMI), maternal age, concomitant pathologies, and nutrients, and to predict the occurrence of miscarriage.
Methods: A total of 786 pregnant women from Eastern Algeria were interviewed between 2011 and 2015.
Musculoskeletal (MSK) health impairments contribute substantially to the pain and disability burden in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs), yet health systems strengthening (HSS) responses are nascent in these settings. We aimed to explore the contemporary context, framed as challenges and opportunities, for improving population-level prevention and management of MSK health in LMICs using secondary qualitative data from a previous study exploring HSS priorities for MSK health globally and (2) to contextualize these findings through a primary analysis of health policies for integrated management of non-communicable diseases (NCDs) in select LMICs. Part 1: 12 transcripts of interviews with LMIC-based key informants (KIs) were inductively analysed.

Main Result: In this study only one-third of subjects with hip fractures were admitted within 24 h of the fracture, and surgery was delayed beyond 48 h in the majority.
Significance: These findings highlight the need to improve access to care for hip fracture subjects.
Unlabelled: The objective of this consensus statement is to inform the clinical practice communities, research centres and policymakers across Africa of the results of the recommendations for osteoporosis prevention, diagnosis and management. The developed guideline provides state-of-the-art information and presents the conclusions and recommendations of the consensus panel regarding these issues.
Purpose: To reach an African expert consensus on a treat-to-target strategy, based on current evidence for best practice, for the management of osteoporosis and prevention of fractures.

β-Thalassaemia, the most common monogenic disorder, is characterized by genetic heterogeneity at the molecular level. More than 300 mutations of the β globin gene have been characterized all over the world, however, few common mutations account for majority of the cases in various populations. The present study aimed to screen known cases of β-thalassaemia in the Western part of Rajasthan state for five common mutations.

These vital drugs are extensively metabolized via CYP3A, so caution must be exercised in multimodal CF therapy because of the risk of adverse drug interactions. Our goal was to develop a highly sensitive assay for the purpose of therapeutic drug monitoring (TDM) in diagnostic laboratories.

The characteristics, management, and prognosis of HL-associated SVC syndrome remain unclear. This case report describes nodular sclerosis classical HL and the associated clinical manifestations presenting as SVC syndrome in a middle-aged patient, and it summarizes the characteristics of HL-associated SVC syndrome.

Introduction: The aim of this study was to develop FRAX models to compute the 10-year probability of hip fracture and major osteoporotic fracture and assess their potential clinical application.
Methods: Age- and sex-specific incidence of hip fracture and national mortality rates were incorporated into a FRAX model for the White, Black African, Coloured and Indian population of South Africa.

Background: Unroofed coronary sinus (UCS) is a rare congenital cardiac anomaly in which there is complete or partial absence of the roof of the coronary sinus (CS) resulting in a communication between the right and left atria. There are four types of UCS described in the literature. While usually asymptomatic and discovered incidentally on imaging, UCS can be the source of a brain abscess or paradoxical embolism.
