Patient-derived endometrial biopsies serve as a crucial source for molecular studies, highlighting the necessity for tissue cryopreservation methods that preserve cell viability and tissue morphology with minimal to no impact. The passive slow freezing (PSF) protocol has demonstrated efficacy for cryopreserving endometrial biopsies, allowing for the subsequent isolation of viable epithelial and stromal cells. Vitrification (VT) enables the avoidance of ice crystal formation and could therefore potentially prevent mechanical injury to tissues.

Purpose: Different regimens of low-dose chemotherapy (LDC) are currently being actively developed and introduced into clinical practice. Along with its obvious advantages compared to conventional chemotherapy (low toxicity, prevention of drug resistance), LDC could also stimulate anti-tumor immune responses in a patient by activating effectors of innate and adaptive immunity and diminishing tumor-associated immunosuppression. As non-myeloablative, LDC could be successfully combined with different anti-cancer immunotherapeutic strategies, including immunoregulatory cytokines.

The endometrium, the inner mucosal lining of the uterus, undergoes complex molecular and cellular changes across the menstrual cycle in preparation for embryo implantation. Transcriptome-wide analyses have mainly been utilized to study endometrial receptivity, the prerequisite for successful implantation, with most studies, so far, comparing the endometrial transcriptomes between (i) secretory and proliferative endometrium or (ii) mid-secretory and early secretory endometrium. In the current study, we provide a complete transcriptome description of the endometrium across the entire menstrual cycle and, for the first time, comprehensively characterize the proliferative phase of the endometrium.

This study analyzed tumor-associated inflammation by assessing the expression of cyclophilin A (CypA) and TNF in samples of kidney tumors of various histological types. It was shown that different histological types of renal cell carcinoma differed by the expression of these proteins. Thus, the highest expression of CypA and TNF was observed in papillary and chromophobe kidney cancer, although no correlation with overall bacterial load was found for these tumors.

This research deals with the synthesis of copoly(methylvinyl)(dimethyl)siloxanes by the copolycondensation of dimethyldiethoxy- and methylvinyldimethoxysilane in an active medium, followed by thermal condensation in a vacuum. We achieved a range of copolymers exhibiting finely tuned molecular weights spanning between 1500 and 20,000 with regulated functional methylvinylsiloxane units. Analysis of the microstructure showed that the copolymerization predominantly formed products demonstrating a random distribution of units (R~1).

Adoptive T-cell therapy (ACT) is successfully applied in cancer treatment; however, its efficiency can be limited by a low viability, short persistence time, and loss of functional activity of T-cells after adoptive transfer. The search for novel immunomodulators that can improve the viability, expansion, and functions of T-cells after their infusion with the minimal side effects could contribute to the development of more efficient and safe ACT strategies. Recombinant human cyclophilin A (rhCypA) is of particular interest in this respect, as it exhibits pleiotropic immunomodulatory activity and stimulates both innate and adaptive anti-tumor immunity.
