An overview of the existing devices on the world market for detecting foci of demineralization and hidden carious cavities is presented, their capabilities and principle of operation are analyzed. Dental morbidity among the children's population in our country remains high, which is largely due to insufficient attention to the identification and registration of initial foci of enamel demineralization. The study made it possible to evaluate the effectiveness of existing hardware methods for early diagnosis of caries in children and adults.

Material And Methods: An epidemiological survey of 678 children (351 of them girls and 327 boys) aged 6-12 years was conducted in the cities of Novorossiysk, Krasnodar Territory (582 people) and Moscow (96 people). By the method of randomization, 450 people were selected, who were divided into three age groups: I gr.
Growing popularity of laser treatment has understandably resulted in increased incidence of potential complications. The analysis of complications, taking into account the causes of their occurrence, is of particular interest. The identification of etiological factors and the development of a step-by-step prophylactic algorithm with their consideration is the way to reduce the number of possible complications in future practice.

Background: Aim of the study was to assess the diagnostic yield of second-generation colon capsule in pediatric gastrointestinal diseases.
Patients And Methods: Five patients with different symptoms of gastrointestinal diseases were included in the study. Among them were: suspicion on diffuse polyposis, intestinal bleeding, lymphangiectasia and inflammatory bowel disease.
In this review history, principles, technique and clinical applications of confocal laser endomicroscopy are briefly described. This technology allows to expand the diagnostic ability of traditional white light endoscopy and to assess effectiveness of therapeutic procedures in different gastrointestinal diseases. New experimental and clinical data in assessing small bowel barrier dysfunction as a predictor of relapse for inflammatory bowel disease is presented.

The administration of TMGl to the hyperlipidemic rats and guinea pigs produced a pronounced hypolipidemic effect. A positive action of TMGl on the lipid profile of blood serum of the experimental animals was observed as manifested by a decrease in the level of cholesterol of low density lipoproteins (LDL) and an increase in the cholesterol level of high density lipoproteins (HDL).

Aim: Analysis of manifestation of epidemic process of aseptic meningitis and causes of its activation using molecular genetic methods.
Materials And Methods: Samples of feces and CSF, nasopharyngeal swabs from 296 patients with aseptic meningitis (AM), as well as 240 samples of drinking water and 6 samples of lake water were studied. Epidemiologic analysis, isolation of enteroviruses in Hep-2 and RD cell cultures, RT-PCR, partial sequencing of 5'NTR and genome region coding VP1 were performed.

41 children with chronic renal diseases (with different forms of chronic glomerulonephritis or chronic renal failure) previously vaccinated with 5 to 9 doses of oral poliovaccine (OPV) were examined. Analysis of immunity to polioviruses revealed insufficient serologic protection against all three types of polioviruses compared with general population. Algorithm of yearly serologic examination as well as a schedule of additional vaccination against poliomyelitis depending on chronic renal pathology were developed.

Peroxidative modification was estimated by the formation of malonic dialdehyde (MDA) and LDL aggregates during LDL incubation at 37 degrees C for several days without Fe2+ or for 2 hours in the presence of Fe2+ in EDTA-free media. It was shown that the addition of HDL3 (but not HDL2) markedly decreases the formation of both MDA and LDL aggregates.

Rabbit HDL containing modified epsilon-aminogroups, or guanidine groups, or carboxyl groups and native HDL were quite similarly eliminated from circulation of healthy animals, whereas the lipoproteins with modified tyrosine residues and, especially, succinated HDL exhibited the highest rate of elimination. Radioactivity of spleen tissue and lymphatic glands was several-fold higher after intravenous administration of succinated homologous 125I-HDL into rabbits as compared with the effect of native homologous 125I-HDL; in kidney, adrenal glands, liver tissue and small intestine the level of radioactivity was analogous after treatment with both homologous native and succinated 125I-HDL.

The following procedures were carried out for production of HDL derivatives: methylation, succination, blocking of Arg residues and of COOH-groups. Rates of catabolism were similar for rabbit and horse total fractions of 125I-HDL, whereas human HDL were catabolized at a slightly higher rates as compared with rabbit lipoproteins.
