YouTube as a Source of Patient Information for Cervical Spine Fractures: A Content Quality and Audience Engagement Analysis.

This study aimed to assess the quality of YouTube (YT) videos providing medical information on cervical spine fractures; secondly, a comparison of two timeframes has been conducted. Using Google Chrome with privacy settings to minimize personalization, two searches were conducted on 20 July 2021 and the second one on 10 April 2024 using various terms related to cervical spine injuries. Videos were evaluated using the DISCERN (Quality Criteria for Consumer Health Information), GQS (Global Quality Score), and JAMA scoring systems.

Relevance of Routine Postoperative CT Scans Following Aneurysm Clipping-A Retrospective Multicenter Analysis of 423 Cases.

Aim: Postoperative head computed tomography (POCT) is routinely performed in numerous medical institutions, mainly to identify possible postsurgical complications. This study sought to assess the clinical appropriateness of POCT in asymptomatic and symptomatic patients after ruptured or unruptured aneurysm clipping.

Methods: This is a retrospective multicenter study involving microsurgical procedures of ruptured (RA) and unruptured intracranial aneurysm (UA) surgeries performed in the Centers associated with the Pomeranian Department of the Polish Society of Neurosurgeons.

YouTube (YT) has become a popular health information reservoir. In this study, we aimed to evaluate the content and quality of YT videos as a source of patient information for meningiomas. A YT search was conducted for the following terms: "meningioma", "meningiomas", "meningeal tumor", and "psammoma".
