Rationale: Few reports of idiopathic hypereosinophilic syndrome exist presenting as ischemic cerebrovascular disease, and the majority are watershed infarction. The demand for rare earth metal increases rapidly in the modern high-tech industry and therefore the accumulation of rare earth metal ions from an aqueous environment becomes a significant concern worldwide. In this paper, a water-recyclable chitosan-based La-imprinted thermoresponsive hydrogel (CLIT) was prepared to accumulate La from solution. The CLIT was characterized by DSC, FITR, Raman spectroscopy, XPS, and SEM, which revealed obvious reversible thermosensitivity and imprinted sites of La ions.

  • While the study identified some associations, particularly with the rs1799752 polymorphism suggesting the insertion allele (I) might increase the risk of AD, these results were not robust after statistical adjustments and did not hold consistently across different populations.
  • Ultimately, the findings indicate mixed results, with significant associations found in late-onset AD and in North Europeans, but overall there was no definitive link after controlling for genetic equilibrium.

Background: The expression of miR-140-5p increased in the brain tissue of a bilateral common carotid artery ligation model, while the overexpression of miR-140-5p significantly decreased the number of neurons. The luciferase report experiment in the previous study proved that miR-140-5p negatively regulated one of the potential targets of Prospero-related homeobox 1 (Prox1).
