The dynamic nature of retinal cellular processes necessitates advancements in gene delivery and live monitoring techniques to enhance the understanding and treatment of ocular diseases. This study introduces an optimized adeno-associated virus (AAV) approach, utilizing specific serotypes and promoters to achieve optimal transfection efficiency in targeted retinal cells, including retinal ganglion cells (RGCs) and Müller glia. Leveraging the precision of confocal scanning laser ophthalmoscopy (CSLO), this work presents a non-invasive method for in vivo imaging that captures the longitudinal expression of AAV-mediated green fluorescent protein (GFP).

Endoscopic expand transnasal approach to the suprasellar region: anatomical study and clinical considerations.

Background: The expanded endonasal approach (EEA) is used sparingly by surgeons for resection of lesions in the ventrocranial base. Herein, we examined the anatomy of the ventrocranial base by endoscopy and comment on the use of EEA in clinical practice.

Methods: Twenty artery-injected adult cadaveric heads were studied under surgical conditions using the endoscopic EEA.

Extended endoscopic endonasal transsphenoidal removal of tuberculum sellae meningiomas: a preliminary report.

In this present study, we reviewed our management of seven patients by an extended endoscopic endonasal transsphenoidal approach to resect tuberculum sellae meningiomas. All surgery was performed using pure endoscopy and a neuronavigation system. In six patients, total resection of the tumor was accomplished; one patient had subtotal tumor removal.
